Bam played the best he could. It Ball has hit a couple of those from that far and further in previous games so it wasn't a prayer. Every single there UCLA has made including that are threes they have hit in previous games
I'll take my chances with him taking contested 25 ft shots.

Indeed. This game shows why I kept telling people to calm down after UK kept blowing out bad teams, now they are playing a top 10 type team at home and it's not so easy. So glad this game wasn't at home or neutral site because UK would probably be down by double figures. I'm betting Cal is peeling the paint off the locker room with his words at halftime.

This half will really show what UK is truly made of, excited to see what they do one way or the other
This is an absurdly one sided take. UCLA has blown out bad teams.

UCLA is a damn good team that could win it all.

I do think that they will wear down today and the shots will quit falling for them eventually.

Not sure I'd want to see them in the tournament before the final 4.

Briscoe has NO court vision whatsoever. All he sees is the basket. Never kicks to an open man. Their bigs are physical and push our bigs out of the way on rebounds. And we've let them dictate the pace the last 5 minutes of the second half. Need to get Monk more involved in the second half. We will be fine as long as we play at our pace.

He has 2 assists, and is averaging 3.4 per.

Uk will be alright, 20 minutes to go, I don't believe ucla holds up at this pace for 40 minutes, UK by 10 plus, alot of shots made 1 on 1 fading away by ucla

That was simply a bad switch, but one that Cal is apparently OK with.

Bam has defended him well when he's been switched onto Ball. Contains him and when he doesn't, he forces him to where there is help. I have no complaints with Bam's on ball defense. Now his rotation into helpside is another story, along with all of our bigs. We have been VERY slow rotating to help.

Cal really has his hands tied with Briscoe. He clearly cannot shoot. He plays D well enough and gets to the rim, but there is just not enough floor balance beacause of his atrocious shooting. For all he does well, his inability to shoot the ball will cost us a handful of games. Cal needs to recognize that this is one of those games.

Also, no more Hump. Play Willis behind Adebayo, or let's see Jones.
How is he costing us the game? Offense isn't the problem when you put up 45 in a half.

UCLA's hot shooting is the difference so far. At the break, they're at a scorching 69 TS%. It's allowed them to overcome a clear disadvantage on the glass and in ball handling.

They whooped our ***.
Stats show they whooped our *** anyway.
Kentucky better buckle down and play defense on the 3 better, rebound alot better, and get them into foul trouble.
The stats say to me that UCLA is likely to play even better in the 2nd half if they take care of the ball. The first five minutes are key. Alford needs a timeout down 4 at the 15 minute mark or something...The crowd needs to get LOUD.

UCLA has better offensive players than us...all there kids have triple threat skills
Cal worried about Briscoe NBA status encouraging jumpers from him is stupid
Kid cant shoot. Cal never learns athletes don't beat athletes who can shoot...Duke understands

I'm sorry but Wenyen is not a better defender. He keeps blinding some due to his hustle but he's constant beat to the basket on drives and some just continue to ignore that every game, he also gives up jumpers because he plays so far off players. why do you think Cal subs him out as much as he does? It's not due to lack of offense or not going for rebounds, he gets subbed out every single time because of his defense. He only goes back in because Willis plays bad defense and doesn't hustle as well and Hump makes bone headed plays on offense and defense

Because they're both better defenders-

offense isn't the problem when you're on pace to give up 100

We would be up 20 if we could push our way to the basket and climb on backs for rebounds

So.....ucla picked up their 5th foul with 15:50 to go. They didn't get another one until 6:26 while committing numerous, blatant fouls. Being allowed to cheat must be nice.

We are not going undefeated but I don't want to lose this game not this game on National TV against this team UCLA at home after losing to them last year.
