Looking forward to a good game on Saturday. I have much respect for your program. That a$$ kicking you just gave ASU last night was very impressive.

Even if UCLA plays its "A" game on Saturday, its going to be a very difficult game for the Bruins to win. Either way, I'm glad to see more home-and-home series happening lately between the blue blood programs and would love to see UCLA-Kentucky have more match-ups at Pauley and Rupp in the future.

Here's to a fairly officiated game with no injuries on Saturday.

If I'm a UCLA fan I'm looking at this like a no lose situation. UK and Cal haven't lost in Rupp many times. If UCLA comes in and gets the upset, that's huge for them. If not, it's not as if the loss is going to hurt their rankings much when it's all said and done.

Should be a fun game, looking forward to the Fox/Ball matchup. It will be our first real test of the season so hopefully it won't disappoint.

Welcome to the forum BruinOne. The Cats are still a very young and inexperienced team and will be facing another quality program. Cats should win it but it could be a very interesting game given that both teams like to run and score.

Rupp will almost certainly be loud and rocking.

Fully agree with your desire for a clean game with no injuries.

I'm excited to about this game. It should be a very exciting, up and down game. This game, the UNC game and the Louisville game should all be exciting games to watch. All those teams want to run. I'm not sure if anyone can keep up with UK in a "fast paste" game, though. :joy:

Kentucky vs UCLA will be a fun game to watch. Ball is a talented player and very exciting to watch play. I expect Kentucky to win the game, but as we all know, it's never a sure thing no matter who you play against. I never had a problem with UCLA and wish them luck after we run them out of the gym.

Thanks for the classy post, ditto on the officials and injuries. I think it will be a good barometer for both teams to judge where they are at right now. Should be able to see some holes in both teams game that needs some work pre-conference play. Looking particularly forward to the guard play.

Showing up ready to play is the last thing I am worried about with the UK team. They look focused no matter who they play.

I watched most of the UCLA and Texas A&M game and have to say you guys have a good team,. It may not be the most talent Alford has had so far but it looks to be his best group. Hope both teams come out injury free after the game . And please lord don't let that worthless Pat Adams or even worse Karl Hess anywhere near the building !!!

Back in late 60's/early 70's, it seemed as though UCLA would win forever. I'll especially never forget the Astrodome game with Elvin Hayes vs Lew Alcindor. Amazing moment in college history. Game of the Century, no doubt.

BruinOne, very nice/classy post. Hope you enjoy your stay in Lexington although it is supposed to be much cooler by Saturday and you probably won't be used to that. It is a match up I am looking forward to and pretty interested in seeing Ball and Fox going against each other, should be fun. Oh, and I'll trade you Ashley for any of those on your list any day of the week. Have fun in Rupp Saturday and I, too, hope for a great game with no injuries to either team.

My wife taught at UCLA and my daughter was born at the UCLA Medical Center, but we are all cheering for UK. Can't wait!

UCLA is a top 10 but if UK is playing there A or B game we still win by 15-20 but who knows we could come out flat and UCLA could pull an upset but we so never lose at home so I doubt it .

UCLA have nothing to lose in this game at this point in time. A loss doesn't hurt them and a win is huge. They should be loose and ready to have some fun. That scares me a little as a UK fan.

Still, I can't see this team losing at Rupp, though.

I think it will be Fox since it can really help his draft stock and so far this year Fox has guarded whoever is the primary ball handler. I rather Briscoe guard Alford anyway because he's a better off the ball defender and Alford can get very hot from outside

Oh we have much more than Ashley although she's a jewel. If I were going to California for treasure such as this I would start at USC anyway!

I'm sorry Bruin fan but I believe in an eye for an eye. Last year's game was so one sided UCLA officiating wise that our player Lee got injured by getting punched in the head with no foul call.

So I'm hoping for SEC refs that let us play as physical as we want to while calling fouls on UCLA all game.

Same with the KU game....... In the words of Metallica.........."you ask forgiveness , I give you sweet revenge"
