Oh, Howard Schnellenberger won a national championship at Miami in the 80's and then won at UofL, but had a disastrous 12 months at Oklahoma? UofL is a special place.

Oh, John L. Smith is a dumbass and a horrible Big Ten coach? UofL is a special place.

Oh, Bobby Petrino sexed a volleyball player, got his *** kicked by her fiancé, lied to the president and was subsequently fired? UofL is a special place.

Lately I've given Lachlan McLean a shot with his morning show, and honestly, I've enjoyed.

Guy is much less buttoned up than what he had to be on 840. Lot of GAMBOL talk. Relatively objective on local stuff. Pretty entertaining.

Not bad, tbh.

- So far, so good. May have it said last week but witnessing the miracle of birth was something I can't fully describe with justice.

- Got little sleep in the hospital. Nurses coming in and out and overall a light sleeper in general.

Wife was unbelievable in all aspects during our stay. She was super cool as well. Our first day there on Thursday while she was a few hours out from delivery she let me go grab some Hoots carry out for lunch. On Friday afternoon she was cool with me breaking free to go for a run and then getting some errands done. Even let me go for a run on Saturday mng. She understands that I operate better when I get my daily exercise in.

The cooler situatish.... Texted my dad when he was on his way and asked him to bring a smaller cooler with some fresh domestos so we could celebrate accoridngly. The lass was not too pleased but what's she going to do? Get mad at the new first time grandad?

- Love holding the baby lass and just witnessing her facial expressions. All she really does is eat, sleep and pee/poo but it's still all so fascinating. Held her on Sunday night while watching the Cats.

I've had patients bring in a 6 pack for hospitalized family members because they literally didn't know any better.

But domestos on the maternity ward is incredible.

I'm sure swimmer's wife has some crazy stories; nothing quite like stories from OB.

First kid, Lisa was in there for 4 days. Platelets were low so they didn't want to remove the needle from her back. --------> Hooters across from Suburban was a nice outlet.

Gonna play the credit card points game again after taking a while off. Paying for flights and hotels is a bit ridiculous. Gonna try a different itinerary in Europe next year. Interested in Austria and the Czech Republic. Wonder what they will think of old America this time next year.

We visited both this past summer. Vienna was nice but Prague is incredible. Would also highly recommend Budapest. Plus, compared to Western Europe, the $ goes a lot further in Hungary and the Czech Republic. :americanflag:

In Prague now. Even the "expensive" areas are cheap compared to really anywhere in the US.

And to answer Clark's question, I've only seen "kill trump" written in graffiti in one bathroom so they seem to be taking it well.

To be fair, Eastern Europe has a sizable neo-nazi population. Just pick your soccer team wisely and you should be able to play the pro and anti Trump sides like a fiddle, Clark

-Joshie was all bent about the demestos. lol. Granted it wasn't beer but we brought in a small bottle of champagne that neither of us even thought about touching after the birth. No sleep and the thought of booze on our breathe while taking care of the little guy spooked us. When my sis was at Duke and I would stay overnight and bring a 1/2 pint of wiskey in for a few night caps while watching TV. The cancer/BMT ward is a bit different as families were essentially living in there. Also brought her brownies while at Vandy . Her and Mom ate them. Then 2 years ago while the Neighbor was spending overnights with his daughter at GoodSam I would run him or his wife wine/scotch up and they basically drank a couple each night.

I don't see why it's a big deal. Probably not great in the maternity ward but oh well.

-That bus crash. Jesus. I can't imagine. Makes my stomach tight just thinking about it. Always thought it would be BS but when you have a little guy and instinctively project him in those situations. Whole. New. Ballgame. Trying to really avoid it in the news tbh.

-Finally getting back in a solid grove health wise and right in time to blow it with a vacation that'll add 5-6lbs. Goal is to hit a spin class every morning while we're out.

-Budgets. GTFO. God I hate this time of year. No sun, cold, crunching numbers(which I both suck at and f*cking hate, meetings with sales people(sorry sloot)).

-Not going to lie, the extry $125 for 1st class during check in was after a stressful couple days got the best of me. Yes, please.

-Marlene with some hate on KSR today, in good nature obviously. She's a lightening rod.

Sort of just coming to on this but to be clear nobody is disrespecting Auld Lang Syne, correct? Just Fogelberg's mess?

Because Auld Lang Syne is heatrocks.

Call me crazy, but I thought we did drink the champagne after the birth of George? Granted it wasn't right after he was born, but it was in the hospital during the steak dinner St. Joe's provides. I think I drank about 1 ounce.
