I don't know if Willis starts or not, but he is going to get starter minutes. He will average 20+mpg.
He is going to get tons of run with Fox, Monk, Briscoe, and Bam because his skill set complements theirs so well. Those guys like to do their damage at the rim. They need room to work. Willis stretches the defense allowing them more room in the paint. Fox and Monk are good at penetrating and kicking out and a guy like Wilis can make a living out there.
We almost know for sure that the three guards and Bam will start. No one is even going to argue about that, I don't think, but that fifth starter is still a question mark. It could be Willis, Humphries, or Gabriel.
I would lean toward Willis, because of his experience and his shooting. Don't want to come out and struggle early on offense. A guy like Willis can help you get the offense going quickly. Defense and rebounding might not be as strong, though.
The advantage of starting Gabriel is defense and rebounding would be excellent, but we might struggle offensively.
The advantage of starting Humphries is he gives us inside scoring and rebounding, but we could struggle defensively and the transition game would not be as strong.
All three guys are going to play, though.
I'm wondering more about who is the 8th man: Hawkins or SKJ? I think Cal is going to keep the rotation to 8 guys, so one of those guys could be left out.
