Hey guys, I have a four day weekend coming up with absolutely nothing to do so I decided to rewatch some older games. Anybody have some gems they want to recommend? My list so far: Last 3 games of the 96, 98, and 12 tournament runs, 04-05 at Louisville, 95 and 10 SEC Championship games, 14-15 Notre Dame E8, 15-16 Duke.

The Ohio State and UNC-Cheats games from the 2011 NCAA tournament surprisingly have not been mentioned.

I could watch the Knight shot and especially the Liggins shot on any given day and smile broadly.

Here are a few fairly random games no one has mentioned that help bring back specific UK eras for me: The Jan. 1993 Kentucky-IU game where four players each scored 29 points.

The December, 2000 game in the Dean Cheated Dome where Kentucky thrashed the AF-AM Rhodes Scholars.

The 2003 game at Rupp where Florida came in ranked No. 1

Wow I was 8 when the Florida game happened and I remember it like it was yesterday, especially the Barbour dunk. The '93 team is always a fun watch so I'll have to look into the IU game from that year.

Another good one is Pitino's first trip to Rupp.
"Tubby! Tubby!"
because of the endings, that may never be topped. we had a bunch of friends over for the first game, and since they won, everyone wanted to continue. good luck, you know. those game enders by Aaron....so much fun, be hard to top it.....
I can watch all of those '14 Tournament games except for the last one. Still hurts to watch it or even think too much about it

That tournament game a couple of years ago when we came from behind to beat Louisville is worth watching over and over. Randall sat there with ice in his veins, draining free throws late.

No joke, I have watched parts of that game probably 15 times. I fast forward to where we're down 18-5 and then fast forward through the second half where we got down seven points.

Ah you beat me to it Bev! Such a classic. McCarty's go-ahead three makes me stand up and fist pump every time I watch it.
same here
That is the only UK game I've EVER turned off, and regretted it ever since. Got the DVD as soon as it came out.

That KU game was a great one and the WF game is my favorite snippet to watch on YT, if only for the Dick Stockton sound bite during the blitzkrieg..."Listen to them."

I'll go back several years back and mention the '79 SECT game vs. Bama, Cats were just smokin' through that Tournament before wearing out against UTenn in the Finals.

The '80 game vs. LSU in BR with Macy's game winner is also a good rewatch.

Mashburn ran through Wake Forest, Fl. St. and someone in the first round. Was an amazing run but I can't remember which year.

Rex Chapman's freshman year against ul.

You'd think it'd be possible to create a digital camera that could average the image and sharpen it with some precision.

"Up conversion" definitely exists, it's just too bad that multiple licensing layers will prevent it from ever happening. I suspect that with older, analog based film that they would take on an almost roto-scope quality, but it would be worth it to see so many of the great, old sporting events shown in a higher quality.

1984 SECT Final. The Cats with a buzzer-beater... and Sir Charles sitting on the floor in disbelief. It's been a while, so I can't say for sure, but I think Barkley was crying?

@Vandy 1/14/2003. The "Suffocats" turned it on in the 2nd half of the game and never looked back the rest of the season. Another good one is the second game against Vandy that year. The boys in blue laid it on the commodores by 60+. Kelenna Azabuike had a monster dunk late in the game.

Wouldn't it be cool if someone invented a device with which you could watch old pre-digital videos and they'd have Blu-Ray quality?

I have DVDs of lots of old games like, to take one example, the break-out game by Dwight "the Blur" Anderson against Notre Dame in December, 1978...great game but the visual quality detracts from the experience.

You'd think it'd be possible to create a digital camera that could average the image and sharpen it with some precision.

Remember like it was yesterday,I was there.
