Won't even win 70 games next year, let alone 73 or more.
They could be better next season and still win less games. It took some luck to get to 73 this season.
Also, with a shallower roster, they might be more vulnerable to the little injuries during the season.

No, LeBron with a healthy sidekick is going to win. Hell LeBron was able to beat the Warriors twice by himself two years ago.
This move is pretty desperate by Durant imo...the guy once had westbrook, harden, and Perkins on his team.

I doubt they even win 73 again. They won't push for it...they will save it for the playoffs. I'm sure they will win between 65-70 the next two seasons.
They aren't beating Cleveland unless Bogut stays healthy. They need rim protection and a true point gaurd... They will be the best regular season team if they stay healthy but playoffs equals better defense with more physical play and that will be their downfall.... This KD stuff is just a Hyperbole reaction IMO!!!!
Well since Bogut, along with Barnes are going to the Mavs that's going to be difficult

Don't get all this team chemistry stuff posters are bringing up unless it's just wishful thinking. No evidence of it, but quite the contrary by all reports. KD is going to the most unselfish team in the league to play with some players he already has a solid relationship with.
First off, until snarks or cut nets gives their educated opinion it's a moot point. That being said, the answer is no way in hell. On paper sure, you can think that, but they have been so successful because they were well balanced and everyone knew their roles. Losing the 3 they lost will hurt them imo. They already had their big 3 and it will take them awhile to get in their groove

pachulia is probably better than either of them

durant isn't like adding melo, or even kobe. he can work off the ball. the structure and ball movement in golden state will only help him IMO
This. Lebron and Kyrie will win a few more as Kyrie is a top 5 guard in the league and Lebron will be the best player for a few more years. Now if they add Wade to that equation it gets ever better. Golden State will have the best record still next year with about 65-68 wins IMO but they won't win the title as their D is going to suck donkey balls as they lost their D inside in Bogut and their best D player in Barnes as well. They will score insane amounts though that is for sure.

Durant will take away from Curry's FGA's and vice versa.. which means Klay is even further pushed back. Hard to be the best you can be with all that talent. And with a team relying on shooting, it will be a little more difficult to find a groove when you can't take the shots.

Can they?...yes. Will they?...NO Their offense can overcome a lot of the liabilities on defense (Steph, Klay & now KD) during the regular season....not so sure during the grind'em out playoffs. After saying all that....I think they'll probably end up winning the title next year.
Klay is an exceptional defender, along with Green. I know that isn't a strong quality of KD, but GSW should be fine on the defensive side. Honestly, if Klay can actually take another step back, giving the reigns to Curry ANY KD, and focus more time on defense, this *could* be a great fit.
I think Pachulia is a good signing but he is not a great rim protector. He ranked in the 100's for blocked shots last season. But he is a really good rebounder (This last season). The one thing that would worry me about him is that his production took a dip in the second half of last season. As for 82-0, no way. I do think that their starting line-up for the up coming season is far superior to this past season. Durant is such an upgrade over Barnes and I think the Pachulia-Bogut swap is a push. Until we see how they fill out their roster, depth may be an issue. So I doubt they reach 73 wins but I think they will be a better team and are clearly the favorite to win the championship.
They'll probably drop a game in their first week as they try to figure it out. Wouldn't surprise me if they go 28-12 before figuring it out and then rolling through to the finals.
They should go the Spurs route and rest guys down the stretch. Yeah, if I'm paying the bucks to see them in Indy or Milwaukee, or Atlanta or wherever, I want to see the stars. But from a basketball standpoint, Steph, etc should not play over 70 games which will probably lead to 14 or so losses.
No evidence? See the Lakers with Gary Payton, Kobe, Malone and Shaq. More talented than any other team to ever take floor and 0 rings to show for it.
