Very uncharacteristic behavior out of Curry tonight. Let's not act like that is the norm for him. Getting beat and refs took him out of the game with some bad foul calls but still have to keep your composure and not have a meltdown and not jeopardize game 7

How does the league leader in steals only have one game with 5 fouls all year, and only foul out for the first time in game 6 of the NBA finals? Everyone talks about LeBron getting special treatment but what about Curry? I don't care how good of a defender you are, its insane that he did not foul out once till now.
Lots of deflections mostly and Curry sat most if not all of a lot of 4th quarters throughout the season because of the beatdowns they were giving teams.

I am qualified to answer this as a someone who (until two weeks ago) lived in the bay and spent time near Sacramento. I think boogie is awesome, mainly because he played for us. Many others think he is a punk and verbalize it. As far as green goes: he's not only recognized as a punk, folks in the bay celebrate him for that--which I think is far worse.
If Cavs could get that second pick to grab an Ingram or Murray then look out for next year.
Live in the area as well. And yes, only difference when identifying which is a hero or a villain is the cause you share with one or the other, in this case...personal fandom which in most cases is geographically determined.

Bad foul calls? You have to be joking. Curry is the MVP of the league and his team. For him to put himself in position to make some of those fouls last night was low basketball IQ. He has no business reaching or flopping with 3+ fouls in an elimination game. Just get back and set your feet on D. Don't give the ref an opportunity to make that call(s). Curry becomes disengaged when things aren't going well. Hell of a player but last night he just put himself in bonehead positions. Why give the ref an opportunity on some of those reaches? Just doesn't make sense. He handcuffed himself.
Yeah I can see that, and to your point I still find it really hard to not cheer for former uk players. But that doesn't change the fact that dubs fans actually applaud green's punk behavior. Not one kings fan I have met does the same for cousins (or rondo)
The foul call on Steph reaching against Kyrie was 100% a foul before and during the actual occurrence and it pisses me off to no end when announcers like Van Gundy say it wasn't a foul. Just because the NBA allows football to happen on the court does not change the definition of a foul. Curry reach across Irvings body and made contact with his arm and chest while pushing him with his off arm and then when he tips the ball he also has his arm completely across Kyries chest. How in the heck is that not considered a foul by some?

I haven't seen anything to make me believe the Cavs can go to Golden State and win game 7 on the road. Great job taking advantage of Green being out in 5, but Warriors at full strength on their home floor will be tough to beat.
So you didn't see game 5? Or the BEATDOWN last night? Was Draymond the difference last night?
As a fan of neither, Cavs turned the series into a wrestling match two games ago. GS had better adjust or they are done.
I agree with you. It was dumb to give the officials a chance to make some of those calls. However, those Ticky tack fouls were not being called across the board in the football game I watched last night.
If Currys 6 fouls last night was the barometer for what a foul is being whistled as in this series then Lebron has had 15+ in every game. Heck, one of Lebrons was a complete stiff arm that dropped Curry and Curry got called for. If Lebron had gotten the whistle that Curry did last night, I could only imagine what you would be saying in here. Aren't we as UK fans always just asking for officiating consistency. Call it loose or call it tight but just do it on both ends.
And btw, Van Gundy was right. In the context of that game and this series, that was no foul nor was Currys 6th. Yes a foul is a foul I get that unless you decide to stop calling most fouls and then the whistle becomes open to interpretation.
Yes, the UL strategy. If you can't beat them, then attempt to "beat" them.
If they called everything that was by the book a foul, they would never stop blowing the whistle. They let someone completely run someone over, and then call ticky tack reach in fouls. Zero consistency.
As a GSW fan that lives in the area, I for one, don't applaud it. He's been a huge distraction for the dubs this entire playoffs.
The refs took Love out of the game with a couple of the weakest foul calls I've ever seen in an NBA game. He'd played two minutes. Curry got one bad call -- the last one. The rest were just terrible basketball IQ plays on his part. It was a poorly whistled game on both ends, but it was called the same way for both teams. LeBron gets zero help from the refs. He gets hammered for 48 minutes every time he steps on the court. He should go to the line 20 times a game.
This is what happens when you use a different crew to ref each game. There's zero consistency or carryover.
I think the "in game" consistency is the issue. Team to team, half to half, end to end, player to player. This isn't just in the NBA, College too. That's why when I watch elementary, middle and high school officials routinely be able to got out and show consistency, it makes me start to question things...

are college and nba games incented the same way though? The nba exists only to entertain and to make money. I can't help but suspect that the "crappy" officiating is conveniently used to play up the drama and to extend series when required
My few observations:
- The games have gotten very physical - that hurts GSW and helps CLE (It also almost got OKC into the finals). GSW is just not as physically strong - and the foul calling is inconsistent - so they've looked lost last two games.
- If GSW cannot shoot better - they are going to lose. Obvious - but they HAVE to hit shots, have not been and CLE HAS been the last two games. Harrioson Barnes was terrible last night.
- Lebron has been playing so well - he may be riding into game 7 too confident for GSW to stop. The ego beast has been fed.
- I've gained some respect for Kyrie in the series - still shoots too much - wants to be "THE MAN" - but more in the area of sportsmanship. I know he's a University of Douche alum.
- Curry, Klay and the GSW interior have been somewhat exposed the last two games - but hitting shots would have made that not so much the case. When a shooting team cannot shoot - they look terrible. When they can shoot - they look brilliant.
- Tristan Thompson is a great rebounder - but get's by with a ton of fouling underneath. Ezili is too often lost on defense.
- Richard Jefferson has been a huge boost for CLE this series - but bitches entirely too much after every call. #annoyingAF
- I know there are Curry haters here - and Lebron Haters here. I will just say this... Curry lost his mind out of sheer frustration last night and only fed his haters that he is a whiner and gets a pass on too many calls. Lebron on the other hand showed his true colors when he got the block on Curry and had to verbally taunt him - Lebron has matured greatly over the years especially in learning the right things to say in post game interviews and press conferences - but if anyone wonders why there are Lebron haters - there's your answer.
