Can't wait for the lass to clean up Chad's pubescent wardrobe. That's always the last shoe (cowboy boot) to drop tbh.

How many grandparents do you have?

Actually coming up on 2 years with the lass. Funny, our first "non-official" date was on Memorial Weekend at Crab Island. I flew in, picked her up at her parents place, took her out to Crab Island...but that wasn't a date to her, until we held hands later, then it became a "real date."

She was not a big fan of Johnboy's boat, considering he had some strippers from New Orleans on there with us (I had no idea who was coming)...now he's married but she still doesn't want to go on the Dirty Slut...so I'm renting a pontoon...to go to the exact same place, but just not riding 5 minutes to get there with them.

What a touching scene Drai's Beach Club was on top of the Cromwell. Complete touching circus. Google image search that....yeah

That looks absolutely miserable, tbh.

^ yep.

I couldn't care less about a Vegas pool, day-club or otherwise -- whereas that's the main attraction for most of my friends who go and love it. Different strokes, I guess.

That's pretty much the last place I want to spend a majority of my time laying beside a pool and overpaying for drinks. It's great for a wife distraction, I suppose.

You're not laying by that pool bub, that is an in your face full on rager.

Last time I did one of those we were paying $60/pitcher for frozen red bull/vodka. I mean, it was fun, but not remotely relaxing. In fact, it pretty much ruined us for the night.

I can confirm Vegas pool parties are NOT in fact miserable, tbh. Granted I don't know how awesome sitting in a law office in Owensboro is but if it compares to HVAC office in Athens...

Oh, couldn't tell. Looks like a peaceful oasis to me.

Spent all day Saturday and Sunday at The Venetian pools. Had chairs right on the water. Cocktail waitress. Was pretty awesome/relaxing. Absolute smokeshows everywhere.

And shewee, thongs (or variations of) are pretty much the standard there now. Fantastic.

Last time I was at Marquee they wanted $1500 per chair. [laughing]

That's the nice thing about boats, it can get just as crazy on the water but at least you have your own space.

Did you go to Tao Beach?

Probably not, you were just at the regular pool. Not the Day Club.

Meh, it wasn't as crowded as that picture depicts. We had to pay $50 to get in the joint (It was the 4th of July) and then we drank from a flask. Pretty simple really. I do agree I could never spend all day paying $12 for a beer and $16 for a splash of vodka.

I've been to Vegas 8 times and that day was by far the most fun I have ever had. My buddy and I had some UK trunks on and we ran into some girls that were huge UK basketball fans. Spent the day in their cabana drinking for free. Just a wild scene. If I was more computer literate I would link the picture.

Just 2 years, Bob? Are you sure? Seems like it's been longer. Either way, I'm not sure how long she's going to just sit around playing Dr. Bob's single life game. I would imagine she thinks she's getting a ring at some point. Has this been discussed? (This is a lot of personal info for the intrawebs, so feel free to text me if you would like.)

Also, yeah, Champagne Tom is in turbo fast mode with his girl. I don't think I've even met her or if I did it was just briefly.

It's WAY too crowded. I actually would rather sit in a law office than navigate that shitstorm of bros.

If you look very closely, you can see Mike over in the corner, sitting in a chair by himself. Aqua socks, tons of sunscreen. Panama Jack hat. A bud light. Perhaps pumping his fist offbeat to the music.

Just KILLIN it.
Bean gets in the middle of it. TS. Rolls with a UK Final Four hat. The rest is pretty accurate.

I would love to do Vegas with the Beans, for like 2 days. And then 2 days somewhere very remote to recover.

I've heard the elite tier gets a Willy Wonka style golden ticket, but I haven't been able to confirm.

Umm, again, I never said anything about YOU being there in Vegas.

Pretty explicitly said I'd like to do Vegas with THE BEANS.

The day club pool scene, if done right, is amazing. Cabana, splashpool with waitress, butler/bouncer. Keeps the unwashed masses out, invite ladies in, good times. It does tend to ruin your night if you hit it superhard.

Vegas has changed a ton just in the last 15 years. ALways a party place, but back in like 2002, there were relatively few of the superclubs. Rain at the Palms, Studio 54, a few others. Everywhere had pools, but only the Hard Rock and maybe one other place had the massive "Day Club" thing going. You could get bottle service at night for $150, it actually made financial sense to get a table and bottles.

Then you had Tao open up, prices started to ratchet up, then the clubs scene exploded, and prices went through the roof. It is insane how much money those things make.

My last two (non-work) trips to Vegas will never be topped (by me at least), so not sure I ever need to go back.

Never been out there, but i'd imagine the majority of my time would be spent in the simulcast/sports book areas. Feedback from a few undesirables says the horse player is treated pretty nicely*.

The horses get a ton of screen time and real estate. The sports books are just amazing. If you figure out the lay of the land and can grab a recliner, plush couch, little private booth setup... man I could and have spend HOURS in there.

Yup. That's exactly what I did while lassie was at the pool (CFB Saturday, NFL Sunday)..and then again on my solo trip.

Pretty much spent all day in there. #worship

...I mean, it's heaven for a sports fan/gambol. I like pools and looking at hot chicks, but not many places you can do ^ -- and I know my opportunities out there are limited.

Meant to check out the Westgate (LVH) both times, but never did. Apparently just unreal.

This is my go-to at Ceasers. Bet either $5 or $10 and get a drink ticket. I stack those mofos as I usually bet at least $20 a race.

I did dig Moorea. Solid older scene....but not too old.
