-Certainly worse **** out there than 'Panda'.

-Beans snapping from the pool in Vegas :weary:... no worries though. Unlike this time last year, it won't be long. Damn, I miss that place.

-Didn't someone recommend the new Ricky Gervais Netflix?

-What about Niballi getting abused in the Giro? Man that guy is a little *****. Should be some fireworks the next 2 days but Kruijswijk has looked cool as a cucumber.

-10* is our little easy day lunch spot. BBQ shrimp and those biscuits are WAF.

-Table 10. Table 310 is Lexington.

Other than table limits, casino lighting is probably my next biggest thing -- kinda similar to my sportsbar tastes.

Not a fan of 'bright' casinos (Like Venetian, for example. That color scheme is awful, feels like you're outside. Or even Wynn). Like them a little darker like Mirage, Paris, or even Caesar's...or Aria/Cosmo if you're talking some of the nicer ones, although the limits there at night are usually above my comfort zone.

-Conference tourney week would be an awesome trip. Wall 2 Wall basketball, but not the madness & ridiculous crowds that the 1st round apparently brings.

-Russell Westbrook sucks and Curry is good again, is that where we're at today? Hard to keep up.

This would be an elite squad. Far more people that would NOT be invited than invited. TS. We've already got a pretty good (secret) list of those folks, actually. :)

We need to pick that conversation back up & finalize the super secret roster, so that I can begin figuring out a way to gain permission. Will probably need to schedule some extra Luke Bryan & FGL concerts here soon.

-Bloodline Season 2 out today :fire::fire::fire:

Indeed. I was stationed at the bar every morning after a run. Best part is most of the games are happening early enough that you can grab dinner without missing the marquee games. Also a nice touch was every conference on the west coast had their tourney there this year so a ton of other college basketballs were around improving the atmosphere.

The wife enjoyed because it gave her time to do whatever it is they do and it gave me 5 hours minimum a day to be by myself at a bar drinking beer and watching college basketball. Somehow came out substantially cheaper than had I done Nashville, too

Concerts are a wayyyyy undervalued "trick of the trade" to getting what you want out of your marriage.

I mean, I've seen Allison Kraus more than I ever saw the Beastie Boys (rip) in concert and as a result I always get to do whatever I want whenever I want- as far as you internet friends know, anyways.

-Didn't think much of The Palazzo initially, but the place grew on me. It's comfortable. Nice enough. Doesn't blow your mind like The Wynn or Aria, but nice. Really liked the pools, but the casina wasn't too high energy.

-Is Vegas slipping as far as service goes? Was pretty much an issue everywhere we went. Didn't ruin anything, but it just wasn't up to the standard I have always experienced in Vegas.

-Won about $600. Was up all trip. So that was nice.

Congrats on the $$....always nice to leave w/ more.

Stayed at Caesars in November as I had never stayed there on prior visits....loved the mix of old and new, and it seemed to have the energy and the low key depending on the time, day, etc.

But higher flash places like Wynn, Venetian, etc are good for eats, shows, and being touristy vs. throwing around the $.

I found the service to be excellent, regardless of the venue, or how much you were dropping, imo.

Heading back in Nov and staying at Mirage, then back for the bball game in Dec and slumming it on points at Trop.

I've said for years Nashville is as (or more) expensive as any domestic 3-4 day trip we do. Certainly more expensive than New Orleans or Atlanta, and just as much as NYC or Chicago. Unreal how expensive that place is, at least during SECT weekend.

Of course, drinking from 9am til midnight in bars that don't offer any type of specials (for the most part) every day doesn't help -- but the fact remains. And of course, the ridiculous Hotel & Ticket Gouging.

Agree with the lighting at the Palazzo casina, not my favorite...however, it is the site of my best single blackjack performance, and subsequent late night purchase of my Tag.:fire:

Nashville is great, love doing the Suite for the tourney, but I'm about over it. Passed on that week off this year, but am primed for a final four trip (god willing).

Vegas is Vegas. Actually kind of prefer it on nonpeak weekends.

I don't know that Nashville for the SECT is more expensive than next year's GYERO Oktoberfest/Viking River Cruise trip will be (check your emails, still waiting on some deposits) but its harder to budget for sure. Lotta sneaky and suspect late night receipts wind up in your pockets the next morning.

Nashville is awesome for the SECT -- but getting tad stale imo. A year off was fine, and not opposed to another if it's substituted for something else...would be miserable sitting at home, though.

Really looking forward to the St. Louis SECT.

If you want to stay in any of the regular downtown Nashville hotels (Sheraton, Doubletree, Renaissance, Courtyard) on the weekend you're looking at $300+ a night no matter the time of year. I don't stay in hotels a lot but that seems excessive.

Even I am just about over SECT, at least in its current incarnation.

Our big group quit doing our suite the past 2 years because Bridgestone wanted $30,000 for it. [laughing] Of course, they had people who were willing to pay it.

Only reason I've gone the past 2 years is that our smaller group of about 8 fell into a hookup. Next year will mark our 20th(!) year, so I feel compelled to finish out the run at an even 20. Will probably retire after that, or at least take a few years off.

Might return after it goes to St. L, and most certainly will go to Tampa. For those who didn't make the Tampa SECT trip in 2009, it's a good venue / setup. Of course, going to shorts weather in March after a long winter has something to do with it - but I highly recommend.

-Absolutely true about Nashville. Granted I love the place. 3-4 days is equivalent to a week beach vacation.

-I didn't think First Rd was that much of a zoo. Took me about an hour the first day to find a spot and setup shop for the rest of the time. Second trip out there we split a Cabana at the Wynn and watched games while lounging in the pool.

-Best part of Caesars is the automated craps game. I love that sucker.

If your trip to Nashvile is as/more expensive than your trip to NYC you're doing both trips wrong.

Push the button..........PUSH THE BUTTON!!!!!!!!!!

They have those in most places now, I have horrible luck on them. I love the automated Roulette though, pretty much the same as the real thing, only don't have to worry about squeezing in, reaching all over the place, etc.

-Ok Brady, thanks.

For some reason I don't look at those games as GAMBOL the same way I do siting at a table. Feels more like Dave & Busters and I'm typically only 1/2 paying attention while waiting for the crew to show up.

Indeed, wodie.

Her 30 hour shifts are no longer after this weekend and with the young one on the way my days of freedom are going to be somewhat limited

Going to nice dinner tonight to celebrate our anniversary. Already knocked out the the yard work for the week on Wed. Cleaned the house thoroughly for 3 hours last night ( I'm kind of OCD about cleaning). Tomorrow it'll be nice to just do whatever with no specific plans.

Cosmo is the new favorite in Vegas. Made some questionably responsible gambling decisions there a few years ago with a buddy so now they think I have money and gambol all the loot. Free rooms/dining credit and own host FTW.

Bachelor party in 4 weeks in LV. Eeeeek.

For the poors and wussy gambols without hosts, 1 bedroom Terrace Fountain View suites there are just over $200 for the UK/UNC dates...which is about 50%+ cheaper than any other time I've looked.

-Nashville would be fine for the SECT if it was every 3-4 years. Every single year is just annoying. At least we have STL to mix it up, granted I can't imagine that is going to have a real SECT feel. Still 2 of the most fun SECT's in recent years. Only NOLA was better.
