I will have to check. As of this morning, they were expecting both. Briscoe back is huge regardless

That's why I don't ever try to predict who is going where, if they do it's good, if not we can't do anything about it anyway, so what about Briscoe[winking]

Believe me or not ... friend told me that KP said that Lee wanted to be back and even talked a about coming back. Problem was Lee wanted guaranteed playing time. Staff couldn't promise it and that's why he transffered. They actually thought he was still coming back. Had talks last night about how he was not entering draft.

Dave now isn't Dave from 2006. He'll be the first to say so and has done it a couple times on this board already.

My point was that Dave had credibility over a long period of time. I am aware of his recent qualifying statements. The other poster I pointed my statement toward...not so much..

The idea of Marcus Lee demanding playing time is equal parts believable, laughable, and pitiful.
It's believable because of his comments about how good we would be if he returned . It's mystifying to see someone arrive at a conclusion with zero data to support it . Just bizarre , he's all in on whoever is telling him this stuff .

It's not the kid--it's people who are handling/advising him and in this case it's big brother.

Lee is a nice kid, wish him well and now you can focus on '16-17 season/team.

What's interesting is to see where he ends up (I'd guess Cal) and how he performs after another yr+ of college. Hope for Marcus it works out.

Thing is--this time a year from now, how many will remember this transfer? He's not playing against you this year....frontcourt minutes are fine...you have Briscoe back...makes sense. Now how you decide to use the huge scholarship allotment will be interesting for '17 recruiting.

I don't know if OP has a source or not. What I do know is that if I had Cal on speed dial and he called me up and said I need you to get some news out to the BBN via Rupps Rafters I'd tell him "hell no Coach."

I wouldn't share any inside info on this board because when things change even the best information can be wrong.
Yeah. Learned my lesson about saying Brad would definitely walk on at UK 50/50 response.

[laughing] Your "source" was about as credible as mine- my dog and a bird in my yard. :pimp:

I believe the OP. Pretty sure his source is a player and soon after Lee decided not to enter the draft yesterday the players would have known and would have expected him back. Lee probably expected to be back at that point also. He would probably play a lot next year but likely wouldn't start for UK. Coaches don't know for sure until they get everybody in here and Cal probably told him that. He very well may look better as an NBA prospect at a school where he can be the dominant player.

I don't believe for one second he made the decision to transfer last night or today nor do I believe he wanted guaranteed playing time to stay here. Both are total horseshit.

He might have known that he was going to transfer before that or had that in his mind, but he didn't let the coaching staff know until today. They had talks about him pulling out of the draft. They also had talks about playing time, which couldn't be guaranteed. Lee wants to be "featured" more and that's why he is transferring. Believe what you want. Doesn't bother me.

Me personally, I don't think the roster is set yet. I think Cal goes and gets another player or two. You may say that there aren't any out there to be had but I think there is somewhere. Not sure where or how but I think Cal goes and finds at least 1 more player for next year. Just my opinion though.

Anyone knows Cal doesn't guarantee playing time to anyone- especially a marginal talent like Lee. Cal has made that perfectly clear since he has been here. That is why I don't believe Lee would even bring up the issue. At all.

Outdoor on average has about 8% thc.. And goes from $100-$200 Oz.. Plus takes about 6-8 mths to harvest.. Indoor can have between 12-30% thc.. Goes for anywhere from $250-$500 an Oz and can be harvested in 3-4 mths,, depending on your indoor setup..
I'm not sure where you're getting your #'s, but I'm pretty sure that: 1) THC content is determined by genetics, not environment, so outdoor will be just as potent as indoor if both operations started with the same weed; and 2) Outdoor harvest is 3/4 months, not 6/8, with indoor turnaround being a little quicker, probably 2/3 months. This isn't personal knowledge, mind you, but comes from picking the brain of a fairly big, long time pot farmer.

Okay, everyone mocked me when I told you Bolden was headed to Duke and same thing happened when I said that UK wouldn't land Newman, Zimmerman, Jaylen Brown.

Now, time for some good news. I am hearing that Lee and Briscoe will both be back at UK. I've said before, my source hasn't been wrong up to this point. I hope he is correct again!

Well, you sure nailed that one.

So yeah let's bash him some more for a rumor. Great times.

I don't think it's a rumor. Seems valid that he gave up on UK a semester shy of graduation.

If you watched this saga unfold over the past month and listened to everything being said, Lee (or someone in his camp) came across as delusional.

No doubt he is a nice guy. Maybe he's just listening to the wrong people.

Hopefully it all works out for him.
