Having elite talent back for the second year is key.

Lee transferring...seems odd, but good luck to him.
Humphries may be the forgotten man in all of this. The kid is a legit 7' tall and has a great touch. The normal maturation process for a kid from age 17 to 18 plus a college strength and conditioning program should do wonders for his game. I think he will be a key part of the rotation next year off the bench. Cal should be able to play small with three guards and Willis at the four or huge with Willis, Bam, and Humphries up front. I like the versatility.
I don't think so. I think he would buried next year. Possibly even behind IZack.Just a dumb move, really.
A line-up of Fox, Monk, Briscoe, Willis/Gabriel, and Bam is smoke.
Bring Flat-top, the Aussie, and Hawkins off the bench and this team could go full on Berserker Mode next season if things click.
I don't think Humphries is a loser or anything. Fine player. But he's not ever going to have a huge year here.
Villanova had one true post player last year.
I like the overall versatility in the frontcourt: 5 capable guys 6-9 or taller.
Bam
Izak
Willis
SKJ
Gabriel
Tai ([eyeroll])
...plenty of size/length for a college team, and not one player is similar. Hell, Briscoe is pretty much a front court player on offense, at least that's where he's best.
Still think shooting will be a major issue, but the size and athleticism are up Cal's alley. Get ready for a metric f***ton of zone defense next year!
Here's hoping Cal starts 3 guards and Willis at the 4.
I'm hoping that Bam will have at least a hint of the surliness of Jason Parker.
