I'm surprised that there has been so little talk about Mulder lately. I remember being thrilled when I saw his mix tapes and read his stats, then pretty much nothing but disappointment for the whole season. He got very little playing time, did very little with it.

What are the chances that he has a breakout year and makes a big contribution?

Can't say it's impossible, because we've seen what a player can do when they turn it on in the blink of an eye (see Willis for most recent example).
Not easy for players to just up and adjust to Kentucky. All we know is he's very, very athletic, he can shoot the ball very well, and he's shown that he can be a rebounding machine despite being a guard. We may, or may not see a major step forward from him.

Like I said when he came here. He would never play a meaningful minute for the cats. Folks were acting like we just scored Anthony Davis. The kid didn't start on his JC team. Good shooter, but needs to be more than that here.

I think Mulder will likely stay. We should have room, and worst case scenario, he would take Floreal's scholarship because he is higher on the totem pole.

He just seemed out of his league last season.Granted he got very few minutes to get comfortable and was likely pressing too hard.We could sure use a shooter next season but I have my doubts Mulder can do it as this level.I would be thrilled to be wrong.

I thought he did a good job in a pinch at the LSU game, and I think if he can get adjusted to the speed of the game then he'll be a valuable asset to the team this season.

I like the kid because he was so genuinely excited to be a Kentucky Wildcat. But, going on last year's lack of minutes and results and Cal's apparent lack of faith in him I would say expectations for him this year are not high. Wish he really could have success because how can you not like the guy, bit I will be surprised if he gets much PT.

If Briscoe doesn't come back, he could see a few minutes here and there. But only if the Two freshman are in foul trouble, and Hawk is already in. Who else is going to the play the 2 guard? We are very think at that position. Hopefully, Mulder can bring enough next year to not hurt us, but stay steady when he has to play.

I can't find info on starting but he was a JC All American. From reading his history when we were recruiting him, he has a serious confidence problem. He has size, we've all seen his athleticism and he can shoot. I think he may have been overwhelmed last year. If he can get his confidence and play decent D, he may surprise some of you. If he continues to be a wall flower, he'll just be a practice player.

I agree. It's a huge jump from JUCO to UK. He just seemed unprepared for the speed and physicality at this level but he should be prepared for it this season. Whether that matters or not is the big question. He has proven in his past that he can shoot a high percentage from three and we sure could use that off the bench. After this past year though it's difficult to expect anything from him but he has the potential to surprise us.

If Mulder has the mental makeup to play at this level, I think he will succeed. Everyone knows about his juco shooting, but the guy really doesn't have any limitations athletically. While he is known for being a run and jump athlete, his agility measured out to be pretty elite during the UK combine. He posted similar times to Briscoe, who put up excellent times and was able to translate it to the court in the defensive end.

I'm not counting on him to do anything special, but I wouldn't write him off either.

Like Briscoe, neither showed how good of a shooter they had been at their previous schools. If Briscoe comes back, I hope to see improvement in both players.
