Are you serious? Stop. The kid picked Duke. That's his choice to make. Deal with it.
He could/should of picked months ago when he knew he was a rat-face lover then....

Wow! Just Wow!Uh man. That's not how it works in Kentucky. This is BBN dude. We love our team. We're passionate, loyal, and we don't accept losing. Winning is everything. On the court and in recruiting. UK basketball is life and death with us. Or the true hardcore fans anyways. So screw that way of thinking and screw that ignorant kid Marques Bolden. I wish him nothing but the worst. Show Class? F that. I'm not a classy person. I'm a redneck and I'm gonna act like a redneck. I cant wait to see Bolden come back as a sophomore at Dook when he could have been a 1 and done, 1st round pick here.
Yes they can and they do it every year. There's no consequences if they stay off the internet. These kids can't string along the biggest most passionate fan base, and it's not even close, for attention without consequence. When he does fulfill his goal of playing in the NBA there will be more UK players than any other school playing all around him. I want him to be reminded of this day that he rejected the Big Blue Nation the rest of his life. Beating them in next years tourney would be an excellent start. Nothing personal.
This is exactly the point. None of us is Marques Bolden, and none of us must deal with this as a life decision. Nearly everyone on this board was hot for Bolden to commit to Kentucky for 1 and only 1 reason, so Kentucky would stay ahead of Duke in the Rivals class rankings. That is shallow and childish. Some people really need better things to do with their time. The kid picked Duke because that's where he wants to go, and because he believes it's the best choice for him. That's completely up to him, but I get it. Many here are overestimating Bolden. Dakari Johnson is a good comp for Bolden. In fact, DakarI was a higher rated prospect than Bolden is. Bolden is a good prospect, but he would have struggled for playing time at Kentucky because of Adebayo, Humphries, Wynyard. Having seen them both, Adebayo is quicker and more skilled than Bolden. That means Adebayo will be the better interior defender, and we all know what that means to Calipari. Bolden made his decision. Now everyone should respect it and take a moment to realize how loaded Kentucky's roster is.If you were Bolden, who would you have picked and why?
Yeah, this is what got me. Honestly, as a player in his situation he had 2 great programs and coaches to choose from. Trolling UK, I get that, not much different than our class doing the Ls down pic but wearing the TCU shirt was kicking a program for no reason other than being prickish.Disrespectful of TCU and why he is a punk.
Bam is more of a forward. We need a back to the basket post player. This is exactly the point. None of us is Marques Bolden, and none of us must deal with this as a life decision. These guys are grown but not mature. Just keep telling yourself this. Cal has the core group that he wants and this is one hell of a class. Wasn't that long ago that we would've killed for one of these current recruits let alone two or three. We're blessed.
BBN
Which explains why hes a pukieDisrespectful of TCU and why he is a punk.
He's either incredibly ignorant or incredibly inconsiderate (or both). Aka, an 18 year old.
I see.
What are the tell-tale signs?Last time I called him on it, he cussed me. He is very obviously the poster formerly known as Johnny 24, and New World Order.
Some people say he is really a UK fan. I thought he was a troll acting like a caricature of a Kentucky fan.
He is consistent though.

He could of? Very insightful. LOL! Since an earlier commitment by Bolden would have been your personal preference, I guess he should have just discarded his own life priorities and committed to please you.He could/should of picked months ago when he knew he was a rat-face lover then....
No, he's definitely a rival fan posing as a UK fan, hoping to make the fanbase look bad. He shouldn't be around much longer. Probably one of those psycho obsessed UL trolls. He'll just keep making new accounts.Last time I called him on it, he cussed me. He is very obviously the poster formerly known as Johnny 24, and New World Order.

This is false. When Bam's recruitment began during the summer after his sophomore season of high school, he was 6-8, 225. A power forward. Now, according to his own comments, he is 6-10, 250. And he looks every bit of that. Did you see him play in the ASGs? He was physically dominating other 5s. I don't doubt that Bam can play a little bit of 4 under certain circumstances, but he is primarily a 5 now. Bam plays with his back to the basket, and his low post skills are excellent. Humphries and Wynyard are also low post players, We are fine.Bam is more of a forward. We need a back to the basket post player.
I was commenting on your comment that Bolden could have committed earlier. LOL! All players could commit earlier! But they are evaluating their options and following their own plan for a decision. They are choosing a place to go to college. It's an important decision for them, and they don't make it to please fans. I'll bet you would have been fine if Bolden had chosen Kentucky. Getting angry and slamming a kid because he doesn't make the college decision you want him to make is childish. Besides that, we have the most talented team in the country without Bolden. How much more does it take to please you? Your post was ridiculous. No I think his early commitment would have pleased many who follow the recruiting trail. You don't know me so don't respond to my insight if you choose to disagree...

I think this is right on. Many people angry about Bolden's decision are upset because they are afraid Duke might be ranked #1 now in the class rankings. LOL! Who cares if Rivals says Kentucky has the #2 class? The objective is to win games, not to please a guy behind a desk at Rivals. As I said long before Bolden announced his decision, Bam is a better low post player than Bolden. The best comp for Bolden among recent Kentucky players is Dakari Johnson. Both are strong 6-10 low post players with mediocre defensive skills. Bolden is a good player, not a dominant player. Adebayo is just as big, but quicker and more skilled than Bolden. According to Adebayo himself, he is 6-10 250 now. According to Rivals, Adebayo is the #7 player in the class. Rivals still lists Adebayo at 6-9 230, but that is obsolete data since they haven't updated his size in over a year. I would certainly not trade Adebayo for Bolden. And if people remember what NBA scouts were saying last November about Isaac Humphries, it isn't hard to understand why Bolden shied away from Kentucky. People should also remember what Isiah Briscoe did to Grayson Allen. We have the most talented team in the country. No worries.Moral of the story: when you guys thought we were set when Cal landed Bam, you should have parked the car at the point.
All of a sudden, half our fanbase convinced themselves that Bam, Wenyan, and Sacha wouldn't be enough, while somehow at the same time viewing Bolden as the world's greatest back-to-the-basket scorer (who also confusingly drew Okafor offensive comparisons).
The whole thing took a weird turn for me around the time of the all-star games when the narratives on this board changed dramatically, mostly established by people who never saw any of these kids play in person.
Or the fact that we have no depth at the 5. That's why some of us wanted Bolden.Reading through the thread, I still can't believe some of you didn't realize Bolden was merely the culmination of Cal's pledge to Bam and Gabriel to play them at the 4 (Bam) and 3 (Gabriel). Bolden represented less to do with actual need and more to do with recruiting sales pitches that were established last fall.
Or the fact that we have no depth at the 5. That's why some of us wanted Bolden.
This. I knew he was thinking about Kentucky, so I just kept posting like normal, just with a small note in the back of my mind to look out for news regarding his commitment, knowing that we'd be fine in the frontcourt either way (Briscoe is a much bigger deal, because without him, we only have 2 high level backcourt players on the whole roster). The only people with a poor opinion of him are the few who, on their own, decided to follow HIS recruitment. The other 99 % don't even know who he is.

In contrast, I feel like some people woke up in the mornings wondering what he was going to do. And that's not Bolden's fault. That's the creepy *** adult's fault.
+1Randolph Morris "picked" Georgia Tech, then announced "Psych!" They're 18-year old kids, probably blowing off some steam after months of pressure packed recruiting. It's not global thermonuclear war.
