Was Bolden just scared?

I kinda think he was intimidated of how serious our fan base is and the pressure that comes along with that. I do think we will be fine. I truly believe Humphreys will make a huge jump under Cal like Jorts did. I honestly haven't been this excited about a group of recruits since Cals first class with Wall and company. Watching our incoming guys mix tapes just gets me pumped. I haven't seen this much athleticism since that first group. Do you think not having Bolden will hurt that much? I kinda think it's addition by subtraction IF Lee and Briscoe come back.

Kentucky isn't for everybody. Something about UK scared him off and that's why I don't see him as being a major player in the NBA.

He won't have the pressure on him like he would have at Duke. Duke fans are nothing like BBN. They don't have fans stalking their Twitter accounts, camping out for games (only Duke students do this, NONE of their other fans), etc. And most importantly, their fans don't bash underperforming players (there is good and bad with BBN...).

Plus, Duke already has a rock solid Center in Jefferson coming back. He averaged a double double before he got injuried and was a above average defender. THus Bolden may also have a strategy to just not do poorly, play well but not have to play insanely....lean on some other players, and then declare and basically get drafted still on potential and not negative things Scouts saw with him if he played all the time...

Yawn it up while Duke returns their core including a first team AA and we're about to lose two fringe 2nd rounders. K is winning.

Keep your mask on, bro. You have no clue on how good Bolden will be or if he'll be a cancer. You take yourself very seriously, but at the end of the day you have NO CLUE how Bolden will pan out at Duke or how he would have panned out for a year at UK. NO CLUE, NONE. I saw these same garbage posts when Shabaz Mohammad went to UCLA.

he wasn't too scared to pull of some of the ish he did the last few days - so no, I don't think he was too scared to play here

Shame too, he's a really good player -from what I've seen. Didn't need to go about it this way

Dude wasn't no DeMarcus Cousins in looking confident I'll tell you that. Bolden looked nervous every time I seen him. 9 and 6 next year

Could've been the way Cal handled Skal.

I think part of Skal's failures had to do with personality. Marques seems to have that laid back attitude that either responds like KAT or fades like Skal, Poy, Lee. Guys that come in with a bit of an edge can UK better it seems.

This is silly...MK has won 5 national titles and will very likely win#6 next year. They will have a stacked roster with maybe the best coach of all time. He made a good choice whichever way he chose. That being said...I HATE PUKE

Lmao you guys are unbelievable.

Yes, he avoided the limelights of UK for the lowkey place in Duke. The team will be the #1 ranked team heading into next yr.

You guys love repeating Cal's words everytime a recruit goes elsewhere, & refuse to believe that player simply liked a different school more.

It wasn't the fanbase that scared him.

I don't see why it's such a ridiculousquestion

Maybe he was scared of his own teams fand bashing him the way half this board does players who don't meet their expectations..

I too was hoping Bolden would choose UK. I don't understand why it played out like it did other than what others have stated about his need for attention. I don't think he was scared I just think he listened to what his folks were telling him. IMO we will be fine, very few are cut out for the Cats and I love the few that are

As a Duke fan I admire the fair-mindedness of this statement.

"He's a little mama ***** boy so he went to a little *****"

To be clear, are you referring to Duke or to Coach K as to where he is going?

I don't think he was scared. Just wanted to please family. On another note, you weren't excited about the Anthony Davis, MKG class?
