Ehhh, it is what it is. Humphries will have to be ready to play alongside Bam instead. Additionally, if Lee goes D League or overseas, I'll be curious to see if Calipari pursues a grad transfer big man.

Awful. Huge loss for Cal. He doesn't miss many, but this is definitely a miss. We turned down Allen to keep Bolden in the mix. Matthews gone. Briscoe may be gone.

Basically we have to hope that personalities don't mix at Duke. Otherwise they'll have just as good of talent as us, and there isn't a chance in hell we beat them because it will not be a fair fight when the refs get involved.

The odds of us winning a title just went way, way, way down. It's a damn hard thing to do anyway, but we just took a huge blow.

Is it just me or has the rat been whipping Cal on the recruiting trail the past few years? Seems like he's been getting every guy he wants. Don't understand it, even after we see him push a dude out the door, guys are still lining up to play for him.

How many NBA players will it take for family to realize Kentucky is at least a good choice?

Some of you guys are being idiots. Let the kid do with his life what he wants. You wouldn't call an engineering student selfish for choosing this late.

The real big decision is Briscoe because our backcourt is thin as hell.

Because he pushed a guy out the door and no one cared. If Cal did it we'd be under an NCAA investigation. That's why.

Every few weeks.. once again.. that cheating rat can't leave college basketball fast enough..

Calipari knows much more than myself in terms of recruiting, but I wish we would have pursued Allen harder. Damn hindsight. UK still has five star recruits at nearly every position, so let's get this train rolling. Having Bolden would have been nice due to his size and talent, but pointless to dwell on it.

Who didn't see that coming? Honestly?

Like I said months ago. We should've prioritized Omer and Jarrett over Marques. And they are better fits to what we need as players.

Where is the engineering board? You should definitely post and stay in there. I agree he can do what he wants but the engineering comparison is dumb AF.

Unfortunately I think they pretty clearly are set to have more talent than us. Just as good a class, if not better, and much better returning talent (Allen, Jefferson, Kennard vs Willis, Humphries, Wynyard).

Seemed like we really cooled on on the Allen front after landing Bam, not during the Bolden recruitment.

No ill will towards Bolden at all. The mother on the other hand..

If you took parents out of their boy's.. err.. grown men's decisions, Kentucky would have another 10 recruits to their name.

I'm not wishing him good luck. I don't want the kid to get hurt or anything, but wishing him good luck is basically wishing for Duke to have a great season.

Duke trolling UK.

Calipari's "we give them the fishing rod, not the fish" rant leads to a tactical emoji response from Duke's account.

2 months ago EVERYONE knew he was going to Duke. How is this a miss?
Just because he drug it out. Seems like it was just for attention.

Mama don't let your baby grow up to be dookies...they needed someone to rebound all of Tatum's bricks.

No real loss since he wasn't a SF and we're loaded down low.
Keep believing that and you'll be very disappointed. We have Bam, whose a good but not superstar, down low and a bunch of role players or bench riders. Our frontcourt will be just as bad as it was last year.

We needed Bolden's offense bad.

[laughing] at all the peeps on the ledge - for starters, have you looked at our front court? We needed a
solid SF not another PF/C who has more hesitation than a 1978 Yugo.

It will be interesting to see what he does at Duke. If he struggles at all he will sit behind Jefferson and Jeter. Could end up like Bragg and Diallo at Kansas last year, sitting behind less talented players because the coach didn't let them play through growing pains.

It's the fact that he followed Brad yesterday that shows he's a big prima Donna and has likely been soaking all this attention up from the get go, most players don't pull crap like that.

SKJ/Bam/Gabe/Hump(Soph)/Willis(Senior) >>>>> Poythress/Lee/Skal/Willis(Junior)/Hump(Freshman).

All this means is we have 1 true center who is a work in progress and a little less depth.
