Guess it would be too much to ask to just modernize these jerseys a bit. smh

BBdK, I am sorry to hear about your pound per day weight gain. I found weight gain in Europe not to be a thing though between all the walking and eating of real food, not processed junk. Clearly you went about it all wrong.

San Francisco: Terrible Weather, Steep Hills, Dudes in the Street in Jockstraps, A Bridge Or Something! Come here and see the facade of the house from Full House!

I do not see the appeal.

Also the most disturbing homeless people on the planet. SF is great though, except for the taxes, ridiculous housing prices and natural disasters.

Umm, we did. I didn't gain 20lbs, but we didn't come back the same weight, either.

Yes, we ate baguettes, pastries, cream/butter, and all sorts of other processed goodies pretty much the entire time in Paris. I'm sure we're the first ones to gain a few lbs after spending 1.5 weeks abroad/on vacation, pretty embarrassed for sure. [eyeroll]

And as always, the awful/exhausted travel day home w/ airport food makes it seem way worse than it really is the next morning.

I gained at least that much while over there the first time in Paris. Mainly by what I can only assume were HSPF/LSD/MSG/HFCS/THC non organic pesticide laced crepes on my 4th meal midnight cravings. That and lots of other food and wine. We also walked a million miles and ran everyday and this still happened.

Spent most of yesterday working on the fitness room. Put in a 6x8' foam floor for weights and a bench. Got some dumbbells. Hooked up the amazon fireTv, got all my apps running. Must say, I like the Fire better than the apple tv so far.

Hit the treads at 530am this morning. It's the dawn of a new era.

Anth feel free to stop by and use the weights, the lass has a some 5 and 10 pounders that may work for you. Clean showers too.

Looking for honeymoon recs. Which country is most renowned for its leafy greens, lean meats, and various Dr. Oz approved vita-superfood cleanses? Very important to me. tia

-If I lived above a creperie I would be bigger than the good doctor. TS.

-Cracks me up when skinny people don't realize the struggle. I can look at a cheeseburger and gain 5lbs. I work out 5+ times per week and basically eat the same thing as sloot and that is only good enough to maintain.

-Lost 30 and 40lbs in two different instances without stepping foot in a gym. Track your calories and get some cardio. You'll drop 10lbs in 2 weeks just by doing that. Go buy some decent running/walking shoes and sign up for MFP.

-IMO, Honeymoon is a relaxation trip. I love adventures but that week I wanted little to do and a beautiful beach to look at. Hit the Carib.

I mean, if you spend 4 days in Paris as a tourist, especially a newbie, and gain Zero pounds ------> pretty sure YOU did it wrong. :100points:

It's not possible to put in more steps than we did pretty much every day we were over there. Congrats on being a skinny person incapable of gaining a few lbs on a vacation, I guess.

Good news is that kind of weight is also the easiest to lose, it's just excess crap. Be back at pre-trip by next Monday, per usual.

I lost weight on the first half of my trip to Spain last year. Cause I was biking 40 miles a day up GD mountains. Then I went to Majorca and Barcelona and gained it all back.

Lost 25 lbs the summer I lived in Germany. Pretty much drank every day and ate like crap.

But I walked 10+ miles a day and regularly played basketball and soccer at the school I went to.

I was also 20 yo, so...

I think it's total ******** that BBdK always has to explain his body to people on here (not everyone in GYERO, but some people- you KNOW who you are!). So, what- he's fat and gross- who cares? His soft chubby physique doesn't define him. Yeah, he's portly and sweaty and has a hardcore, probably life-threatening, grease addiction, but so what? Why can't you judgmental ***** let BBdK be BBdK?

Did you get lunch at a Brioche Doree while in Paris? Love that little prix fixe menu.

Too full from Pret A Manger.

-This day/convo is setting up about as perfect as possible for '73. That's one guy who's at least happy about my trip (and Chad's). :)
