Any golfers out there ever play The Big Blue Course in Lexington? Im from Cincinnati and the company I work for does an annual golf trip each spring. This year were playing two other courses on Friday Morning and Saturday morning and then The Big Blue course on Sunday morning and I couldnt be more excited. Im a lifelong UK fan that lives amongst Cincinnati fans. If you've played it, how is it? Thanks in advance!

I recommend taking next years outing to Chariot Run golf course in Lacerna, IN. Its only a short drive from the Louisville area. You can stay at Belterra resort and casino and its only about a 10 min drive to the course. Absolutely beautiful course with a fun and challenging layout. The course superintendent does a great job to accommodate your groups' needs.
In the Lexington area I've heard positive things about the University Club of Kentucky. Among the courses I have played you can't go wrong with Cherry Blossom, The Bull, Houston Oaks, and even Kearney Hills.
If you want to stay in Ohio plan a trip to Longenberger. Its ranked as one of the top public courses the last couple years.

I've played there. It has been about a year or more so I can't remember which course I played but I had a fun and beautiful course.

OP, there is a golf thread over on the Paddock. You'll probably have better luck there, I'm sure some of those guys have played it.

Think you are a little off there AF...Chariot Run is at the Horseshoe casino and is a little drive from the casino while the Belterra golf course is right outside and if you stay on one side of the motel you have a great view of the practice area and the first hole

I've played Big Blue a number of times and love the course. Pretty challenging but a beautiful course and you'll have a great time. Quite a variety of holes on Big Blue and it will keep your interest all the way through your round. Wildcat Course is also very good but Big Blue is the main course and the one the UK team uses for play and practice. Enjoy yourself, I'm sure you will be very pleased. Nice clubhouse too.

I've played both of them back when it was called The Players Club..before UK bought it. Looks like its pretty much the same courses from what I can tell. One of the best places to play in the area for sure.

Big Blue can go against the best courses in the state at the very least, if not the Ohio Valley region...I've played it and know lots of people who've played it...top notch...

...also, it is not owned by the university...most people think it is because of the name...

Don't go if its been raining or still wet. Great layout but can get real soggy quick.
