The absolute zenith of hen Facebook absurdity was the whole Ice Bucket Challenge deal.

Throwing on your cutest LuLu Lemon gear and dumping ice water on yourself with lil Paxton standing by your side does not raise a cent for ALS and you're only doing it to bring attention to yourself.

WRITE THE FNG CHECK AND SAVE THE LOOK AT ME CRAP.

Long before 2003. True story, when I was around 8-9 years old I won an original superlative award at our country club swim banquet for my noted negativity: The Dark Horse Award.

So, around 1991 boy SAE actually had to walk up and accept a black horse figurine with my name on it in front of about 150 people. True to form, everyone except for me seemed to really enjoy that iirc.

I honestly don't know anyone I grew up with that actively listened to Prince.

Well, of course not. You're 30 years old. You probably didn't know anyone who actively listened to Bruce Springsteen, Michael Jackson, the Rolling Stones, etc. either.

I had Thriller on cassette when I was 7 or 8 and listened to/knew people who listened to Springsteen and The Rolling Stones once we got into high school. Kind of my point, Prince was famous, just not in a transcendent type of way.

I disagree. He was right up there with all of them, but had a more mysterious way about him.

Hell, saw Darius Rucker cover "Purple Rain" opening up for Brad Paisley four years ago.

Some lady in the waiting room at the doc is watching the video on full volume about the professor that taught class while holding a student's baby who didn't have a babysitter but came to class anyway. That story is at least 2 weeks old and she should consider the volume.

And I should consider lol'ing at gyero posts too, i suppose.

Speaking of Michael Jackson at a young age, these guys chasing Rabbit Michael around creeped me the f*** out.

There is an absolutely c*** in line next to me to board this plane. Southwest, so my only priority will be staying as far away from her as I can.

If you're still in line to board the plane then YOU AREN'T WHEELS UP YOU GD DUMB SON OF A *****. THE WHEELS ARE STILL FIRMLY ON THE GROUND. LEARN AERONAUTICS.

Losing two all time all time icons in Prince and Bowie with in months is crazy. Should Paul McCartney be worried?

Erotic City, now that was a Prince jam. Not on anyone's top 5 list on Facebook TODAY. Back in its day, it was on Everyone's top 5. PC Facebook olds will not list it today, such a shame. Yeah, sure thing little Susie housewife, do not act like you wasn't out there grinding on the dance floor in the club listening to Erotic City 25 years ago, quit acting all innocent, Paxton will never know.

This is why if you get caught cheating in 2016, you should suffer an ungodly punishment. Because everybody is cheating their balls off to certain degrees and if you're dumb enough to get caught, you're a big dumb stupid that's getting what's coming.

Programs are much slicker now and it's a lot easier to avoid a paper trail and dispose of evidence than it was at SMU in the 80s. Pony Excess is my favorite 30 for 30 and my favorite quote from that one was when the guy said "Hey! We bribed this guy and he isn't honoring the bribe!"

Curious but why do you think it is easier to cheat now? Seems like there is something much worse than a paper trail these days, which is a digital footprint that can be impossible to delete. Had Katina Powell not had hundreds of texts confirming her story, I doubt anyone takes her seriously, even with her pics.

Email is all discoverable (crushed Tressel), everyone has a camera in their pocket to record shenanigans, and the kids are so dumb about that stuff, they do things like post pics of themselves in drop top Benzes bragging about the cheating.

The only thing easier nowadays I would think is the sheer laziness and stupidity of the NCAA, which can of course swing both ways.

You guys are right. I was completely wrong when I said Prince was a terrible artist that no ones ever heard of.

I think everyone does appreciate Prince, but to act like Billy Joe American was out answering with "Prince" when asked who some of their favorite musicians were before yesterday is false.

In fact, before yesterday a large % of the same people now mourning his death would have been just as apt to say Prince was "weird" before now apparently identifying him as a favorite musician.
That is a big problem in America. Too many douche bags desperate to belong to something...anything.

Lucky to have seen Prince in the 90's. One of the best performers I've ever seen.

Thrill ride was bad ***. Nothing like flying upside down of Michael Dell's $13m mansion.
