When they interviewed him and he said the most important thing for him was to be able to feel comfortable enough with the coaching staff that he could go to them for anything I thought that sounded like Cal and Payne.

That's especially important when less than a week ago, 4 dookie assistants flew down to see him to give him a "just trust us" sales pitch. That doesn't sound comfortable to me. Meanwhile he's calling Coach Cal up under his own volition and "always building that relationship up with him"

He said in his interview Wednesday that he & Cal talk a lot...just working on their relationship

The only real question is who's leaving. Cause Bolden's ours. So who will it be? Lee or Briscoe entering the draft???? Or Mulder, Wynyard, or Mathews transferring???? My guess is Mulder's gone. Welcome to the BBN Marques!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've stayed quiet throughout this whole recruitment, but I really believe he'll end up at UK on Sunday. I have no sources, and frankly the whole "late swing to UK/Duke" stuff has no bearing on it. There's no way he sees Grayson Allen and Jayson Tatum and expects to have the ball in his hands much. Frank Jackson is a shooting guard in a point guard's body, and is very ball dominant. Giles is obviously going to get his fair share of touches. Amile Jefferson skipped out on the NBA to return for another year, I doubt he's going to give up touches. Matt Jones is certainly shoot first. Where exactly would Bolden have a fit? How would he be able to produce anything other than rebounds and put backs? Logic just screams he'd fit in better with a pass first PG like Fox. He'd step in right away and have a major spot on the roster. He and Bam complement each other extremely well. He and Monk have shown great chemistry in their time together for these games. Always speaks highly of Cal, how he can get him where he wants to be, will make him better as a person, etc. It just all lines up to UK. I honestly don't care what the latest "buzz" is on him, I think he throws on a Kentucky hat on his birthday.

Might not have liked the thought of Bam beating on his head in the NCAAs

Dook's gonna start Tatum-Jefferson-Giles in the frontcourt and have Jeter and DeLaurier off the bench. He knew all along he'd get not only more PT here, but basically guaranteed a starting spot. He knows he'd start over Lee and Killeya Jones and Humphries. And he knows Gabriel and Willis will be playing a lot of SF. He knew there would be a VERY good chance he wouldn't have started over a 5th year SR. in Jefferson and the number 1 overall recruit in Dirty Harry.
