Troy Williams has problems with classes. Due to academic issues...Williams will most likely NOT return to IU.
Kid will be a good pro for sure but dude is a Jason Tatum level ball hog. No way Williams comes back as he wanted to be 1 and done when he came out but took him 3 years to show his stuff. Bet he goes early 2nd round.
I sat next to Troy's uncle when I attended IU's practice, and I was impressed with Troy's game. Troy is big enough and athletic enough to play in the NBA. The question will be whether he has NBA scoring skills. That could be a tough sell. But I can understand why he sees a bigger opportunity this year compared to next year. This year's draft pool is not exactly intimidating.
Smart move on his part. Why not go to the combine, work out, get feedback and go from there when the option to go back is there?

Correct...and he barely passed his classes thus far. Academics are far from Williams' strong points. Troy wants no part of stressing over academic eligibility for one more school year of basketball eligibility
Impressive. Since you have access, could you check a few other transcripts for us?
He has just as good of a connection to IU's transcripts as IU fans do to UK student-athletes. You know, where you guys constantly spout that UK's players don't go to class? See how that works? You can't have it both ways.
