You have 3 messages since 2007 and this is one of them? Really? Lol

You spell Alex's last name the way my grandmother pronounces it. She says Tommie Hilfinger too. And Ellen Degenerate.

You couldn't be more obvious.
I always say poytress. Because there's so many idiots that say poytress. Like Verne lundquist trying to call a game. Bolden to uk mark my words

No I've never watched him play. Who are we talking about?

Learn basketball. Learn skill set. Bam Adebayo is not now and will not be a center in the NBA.

How about stop basing your opinion on who he gets compared to and watch him play. Have you watched him play? He can push the ball on the break, he can pull up and make a 10-15 footer, he can take a man off the dribble. If he was 7 feet tall he may be a center, like Cousins, but alas he's not. He's 6'9".
I guess we'll see who's right in a couple of years. So cal was lying when he said that he's grown to 6'10 and a half?

Drew Franklin will reveal his sources/thinking on his pick of Bolden to Duke on KSR this morning.

My point is that if we miss out on Bolden, Bam is plenty capable of playing and flourishing at center here. I'm not trying to get into a pissing contest, he may play pf in the NBA but he's going to be strong enough to offset an inch or so in height and could play it at times in the nba too even if he's mostly a four.

even if so.

Look how many 6'10" PFs are in the NBA and how many 6'10" centers there are. List em all if you want. We can count em together. Bam's at his best when he's able to attack from about 15 feet out like Randle was.

Disagree. The famous tweek involved getting the ball to Randle down low. Randle was a turnover machine when asked to dribble. Kids have lots of skills that Calipari checks or ignores. (Who knew that Patterson or Cousins could shoot?) Bam will get the ball passed to him 75% of the time down on the block.

yea he will most likely... but that didn't make him a center the same as Randle wasn't a center just because Cal started feeding him on the block.

Shawn Kemp... PF
Amare Stoudemire... PF/C

Stoudemire played some center with the Suns out of necessity because they went small and played fast, but most of his career he's been a PF and playing like one.

Basketball references estimates 53% of his career he's been at center. Played at center over 70% of the time for four straight seasons in Phoenix. He was definitely at his best when he played center under D'Antoni when he and Nash ran that unstoppable 1/5 pick and roll.

But I agree with you that Bam will be a power forward in the NBA. I'm not sure where he'll spend more time at here without knowing what Bolden is doing.

Laughable how this guy keeps comparing Bam to Howard based off some random article. The only comparison that I see if that they kinda look like each other. Their skill sets do not match up. Don't ever remember seeing Dwight make jumpers and blowing by people.

If we miss on Bolden then Bam likely starts at C here, but he will NOT be a center in the NBA. He's as much of an NBA center as Kenneth Faried is. Faried is actually a good comparison. Their games are rebounding and dunking or getting points within 3-5 feet. Bam has a better handle though.

I'm praying we get Bolden. We badly need skill down low next year. Bolden provides that. Bam bulldozers but he's not putting moves on guys like Towns or Cousins did here.

Bam has expanded his game outside of 3-5 feet. He's not just dunking to get points now. Like Spears said, he has expanded his game and has a fluid jumper in his arsenal now. He's got the ability to put the ball on the floor and get by people and finish hard at the rim. From what I have read from some of the tweets from the McD's game, some were saying this his on the block skills are what need work. I mean, those are only someone's opinion too though.

With that said, my brother was there in Chicago for the week and said Bam was one of the most impressive players there. He works for NCSA in Chicago and does this type of stuff for a living. He sat 5 rows off the floor and said Bam was hitting shots all over the floor in the shoot around and warm ups. He was very impressed with him. He didn't see the Howard comparisons either, only with their looks of course. He thought Bam was much more versatile that Howard, especially at this point in their careers.

So what did he say?
He said he hadn't heard anything within the last month. But he also said that a month ago Bolden was ready to commit to Duke and was just thinking of how to do it. Didn't say how he knew or who his source was.

Now things may have changed. Since then Jefferson applied for a medical redshirt & Capel may be leaving. But as of a month ago it was all but done.

Crystal ball is up to 62% Duke. But Chris Fischer and Jerry Meyer have thus far stuck with UK. Fischer is pretty accurate. So at this point who the heck knows?

Said this on HOB, but if Bolden goes to Duke, I just don't see him getting enough exposure to be a OAD. That being the case, perhaps a sophomore Bolden throws a wrench into Duke's plans to sign both Wendell Carter and Mohammed Bamba next year.

Of course, I guess guess they could still sign both. I wonder if Bolden's family realize Duke has already basically recruited over him?

Doesn't matter whether you call him a 5 or a 4 or a PF or a C, bottom line is Bam will be our primary post threat on offense. Especially if Bolden goes elsewhere.

Cal is going to feed him the ball inside because he will score and like Matt Jones said after the McD's game, he will get tons of "and 1's" because he is so strong and knows how to finish at the rim. That is something we seriously lacked last season.

I think we start:

G Briscoe
G Fox
G Monk
F Willis
F Adebayo

Gabriel will be sixth man.

With what we expect to have now, my biggest question is whether Briscoe or Gabriel starts.

Bringing Briscoe off the bench would give us a little more flexibility.

Just spoke to someone who would know and he said don't sleep on Bolden to UK still. Said it is still definitely a possibility and (as far as UK is aware) no decision has been made.

Cal likely starts Briscoe if he returns, which means Willis probably has to start as well to offset Briscoe's shooting woes.

If Brisoce comes off the bench, then Gabriel starts and I wouldn't be surprised if Killeya-Jones starts instead of Willis to give us more athleticism in the starting lineup.

But I really think Briscoe starts if he comes back.

I'm not going to be surprised if Briscoe starts, but I think our best unit may end up being Fox, Monk, Gabriel, Willis, Bam.

Actually, if Gabriel can knock down the three at a decent clip, our best lineup would probably be Fox, Monk, Briscoe, Gabriel, and Bam.

Where's that Kansas poster at? Wish he would call another recruit to UK. That day was epic.
