I appreciate the sentiment of the kid wanting to formally tell all the fans and media but most should just release a press statement, maybe release a short clip on instagram/ twitter etc. thanking everyone. No need for the theatrics of a presser because this has become and annual thing and expected. Far from "special"

I don't think anyone is taking shots at murray. We're happy for him and glad he gets to have this moment. I think the frustration lies in the fact they put this out there a day in advance and call it a "special" announcement. We all knew Murray was entering the draft so why leave us hanging for a day?

Because it is not about you...or me. Cal makes this about them and there is ALWAYS motive behind what is done and why it is done a certain way. Recruits will see this. You don't think the best recruits come here to actually play for UK do you? They come here to sit in that chair and do just what Murray is doing. Just the way it is.

You're damn right. I thought it was special to see the bond between father and son and the work they put in to get here. If people don't like, don't watch. Sheesh.
