I can't believe that most of this thread has been a warmup to the Bashing of the Kentucky players for next year. We don't get to see what type of players and how good they are in these silly All-star games. I watched Mr. Fox in multiple games on ESPN this year and every game he was scoring easy 40+ points and was sweet hitting the outside shot and 3-point shot. At 6'5 he is great at finishing and the assists keep coming. I just don't believe some of these comments about Fox and Monk and about the backcourt. We saw the other night what Monk can do in the Dunk and 3-point shot contests. When you have guards like Ulis and Murray we have to remember at the beginning of the season both were struggling and finally in the SEC season is when Ulis and Murray starting clicking together. I also see 3 forwards in Bam, SKJ, and Gabriel to go along with the players coming back next year and we will be fine. Just enjoy these all-star games and quit being such debbie downers to these young great players!

These games are meaningless, but its still a good scouting tool.

These guys are finally matched up vs. players that can match their size + ATHL. Now we get to see what theyre really about - skill wise + athletically.

If a guy seems timid offensively and cant turn the corner, im not gonna write it off b.c its a Mickey Ds game.

Monk is the truth.

I feel like the chemistry between Bam, Fox and Monk will be fantastic. All three guys seem like team players.

Love watching Bam. Kid is going to help.

Fox is no John Wall as some have foolishly compared him to. Looks really shaky and evidently his bad practices, scrimmage and this game has not helped him according to guys like Jerry Meyer and others. It will help him if Briscoe returns.

Monk is a ridiculous athlete.

Would love to get Bolden.

But it's an all star game so ..

I knew Bam was one of the 5 best players in this class but the last 3 days have me thinking he might be the best.

Actually Fox is the closest thing to Wall since Wall. Just watch his games online and tell me he isn't . Man this thread has such classic comments .

Why would he do that when he can wacth this game, the strongest competition Fox has played in his life? This is far more telling than his HS games vs. 5'9 white boys.

Your foolish comparisons will set him up to disappoint. He's clearly not at that level and its okay.

I thought Fox was much better the second half and showed he is very quick. We were spoiled this year watching the best backcourt in the nation. I still think Fox and Monk will be very good by mid season.

He's not John Wall as far as i could see and that's not an insult. He will still be a great player. He doesn't need the comparison pressure.

But again...its a friggin all star game.

[roll]This game isn't telling about anything. Whether he is a top point guard will be proven next season and this game provides no proof either way.

I can't believe even in all-star games I have to bite my tongue on some of these stupid comments like we are going to see the Zone since Fox and Monk isn't shooting well tonight. This is an all-star game that many of these type of players struggle in these games. Fox can score easily and I have seen a couple of his games on ESPN and he was hitting from the outside and NBA 3's that night. He scored 30+ in the games I watched him on ESPN and he had 8-10 rebounds and close double digit assists. Fox, Monk, Bam, Gabriel, and SKJ are all great athletes and players!

In the games I have seen him on ESPN Mr. Fox is alot like John Wall and in the games I watched him he was draining the outside shot and 3-point shot! Mr. Fox and Mr. Monk will be the best Backcourt in the nation by SEC Conference games and March Madness!

I don't see why it's so hard to understand why people get concerned so quickly. I mean, like I said, thinking you understand a player based on an all-star game is idiotic. But there is a common theme with Cal guards.

It nearly seems to me like Guards that have issues hitting outside like playing for Cal because they know he will let them keep playing and keep shooting. Not all, but a lot. And This seems to scare the hell out of people because as we've seen, without guards who can hit, you aint gonna win a title.

Hopefully we've got a good mix of what we need at all positions, and not hot/cold like we've been.
