- Headed to Owensboro tmw with the lass for Easter. Don't mind the little town. Enjoy seeing her family, grabbing some BBQ from Ole Hickory and maybe grabbing some crafties at Gambrinus on Saturday night.

Her grandmother lives in this little town outside Owensboro named Habit, Ky. Going to her church for Easter service. The same church where she was married which I think is neat. The church is close to 100 years old.

- DuPont Hoots tonight for a diaper party. A Team servers. Pitchers of domestos. Breaded 6 Mile Island... If Young Metro Don't Trust You..

There isn't a possible reason anyone could hate on Ferrell's, unless you're just a complete Dbag.

It's not an all time burger, just your typical greasy diner burger, but smaller. Could probably eat 6. Just a classic little place. #worship

If a fast food burger comes with it, fine I guess -- but if you add your own ketchup to a cheeseburger you're a loser. Feel free to participate in my new thread if you disagree and want to admit to capaw you are a loser.

-Kindly is still smoke. She's getting older but she's still holding together. Nothing like she was nearly 8 years ago when we first saw her. At that point, she was :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Don't understand the angst toward a hot chick in UK gear popping up in your twitter feed a few times per week.

-Mussel Burger is the best I've had around here as far as gourmet burgers go. Sidebar and Grind are pretty close. Ferrells is fine for what it is, just don't stray from the burgers.

This bakery in Murray called Sammons used to have a great burger. It was voted the best in the Jackson Purchase several times. Edging out Ferrells. Not sure if it is still open. I bet Ladycat has had one.

I always expect Sawyers to be full of guys wearing dress shirts with different color collars, baggy slacks, and suspenders.

I don't think you could get more "understated" '80s than that place

O, and everything on the menu is 90% salt

Never been except pre UK game, when it's all blue.

Have a lot of nostalgic feelings for that place & Joe Bologna's. Went to either for every single UK game as a little kid. It's not epic pizza, but the amount of hate that place gets is pretty ridiculous imo. Hurts my feelings.

I have no issues with Sawyers. My one trip to Joe's was so disappointing I never went back. Cool building though.

Sawyers burgers are still really good but their fries are not. Just basic plain *** french fries, not crinkle cut, not thin and crispy, not hand cut, nothing, just french fries.

Joe's is great, love the Sicilian pan. Breadsticks and fried banana peppers are dope too. Only complaint is that stuff runs through me like a scalded goose everytime. Must be allergic to something in their sauce.

Must be nostalgia.

I'm really craving a burger now.

The Louisville burger scene really has never recovered from the loss of Flakey Jake's. And yes, well aware it was a chain. Nothing said field trip to Louisville in middle school like stopping at the FJ on Hurstbourne.
