He set the UK freshman single season scoring record today

It has been nice to have the players we have since Cal has been here. Every year we have a kid who is special. Talk about adding
to Kentucky lore........

Yeah, dude is straight ballin'. It's scary to think about the numbers he could put up if he strings together a whole game. He's usually on fire one half, then quiet the next.

I know that has a lot to do with defenses keying on him and trying to take him out of the game, but just imagine if he put two of his best halves together in the same game.

In all fairness Hield and Valentine have both also had excellent seasons and they have been around doing this college thing for longer. They were hyped from the beginning of the season, and they haven't disappointed. Murray is having an epic season, but could you say he is having a better season than those two? Murray may be having just as good of a season, but I think the nod goes to upperclassmen when all else is pretty much equal.

Dude is crazy good offensively. Deserves every bit of the attention he's getting.

Terrible or not, by the looks of both threads, he's got a point.

No, not really. But if you want to agree with him, whatever his irrelevant point is, that's your prerogative.

Again, I've not been involved in the pissing match over Willis all year. I just think it's silly for someone to complain when people post positive comments about one of our players on our own message board after a big win. That's kind of the reason message boards exist.

I never said that I agreed with him. I just said right or wrong, by the attention that both threads seem to be getting, he has a point.

I completely agree. Again, I never said it wasn't silly or that I agreed. But, it's also just as silly to complain about the complainers. You have your opinion, he has his. It's whatever, though. You two can have your little pissing match. Makes no difference to me.

Well, let's be honest--It mattered enough for you to reply, so there's no need to act like you didn't care about it at all.

Regardless, it seems that we're on the same side regarding the only real point I'm trying to make--It's entirely appropriate to praise one of our players on this message board.

This is something so extremely obvious that there can't be any real debate about it.

Not really. I was just pointing out that no matter how terrible you thought his post was, he does have a point, and I'm sure there are plenty that agree with him. That’s it. Nothing more, nothing less.

I actually don't think he has a point at all. At least not a valid one. Regardless, his argument was irrelevant in the context of both threads.

I really must be missing something. You guys must have gotten so worked up earlier this year about Willis that you're still fighting that battle with one other. It's time to for everyone to move on.

Yeah, no one cares that Murray is playing out of his mind, just broke Delk's three point record and has scored 20+ points in 13 straight games. Willis blocked a shot and got a rebound; that's all that matters.

Dwayne, this thread is about Murray. Why drag in your obvious bias against Willis? Let it go...

So you really don't think he has a valid point? You honestly believe that there aren't people on this board that care more about Willis playing well (because of where he's from) than they do about all of Murray's accomplishments? If you honestly don't think he has a valid point, then you haven't been paying close enough attention to this board. I'll just leave it at that.

Again, I don't agree with him either, regardless of if I believe he has a valid point. Imo, even though I choose not to cheer for the team based on where players are from, but if someone else chooses to play favorites because a kid is from Kentucky, then they have every right to do so. Makes no difference to me. Anyways, you're right. It is time to move on.

We would be screwed if we didn't have Murray this year. Imagine this though had kat been a freshman this yr and not last, the possibilities would be endless. Obviously, with Murray reclassifying

Willis must have banged your gf/wife. Only reason why someone would have so much contempt toward a 18-19 year old. Also, you're a terrible poster.

My obvious bias against Willis? You made that up, and are sorely mistaken. It's the other way around. It's the others who are biased.

I brought it up in this thread to point out the the obvious bias against Murray (and other players), and the bias for Willis that plagues this board because one is from Keptucky and the others are not.

I have no contempt for Willis. I'm just not one of those hilljacks who thinks that since he's from Kentucky that he's deserves special treatment and is more important than the rest of the players on the team.

Murray's awesome.... Willis is playing great... the whole team seems to be getting healthy and playing well. Why say you have no issue with Willis when it's so damn obvious that you do ? Giving a ration of sh*t to Willis (which is EXACTLY what you've done) is wrong and that's putting it mildly. GBB.

Find one post of mine today where I gave a ration of **** to Willis. Just one. In every post I have said that he played a damn good game today because he did.

I've given **** to the biased posters on this board who think that since a player on the team is from Kentucky then he is somehow more deserving and important. You can make up whatever you'd like, it still doesn't change the fact that everything I said is true.

Just don't see it as you do. Being from Kentucky doesn't make him more deserving or important than anyone but it's nice when Kentucky kids perform well when they DESERVE what they get. Very similar to Darius Miller. Willis has earned his praise and he's deserving of all the praise he gets.

I don't know what you're smokin' but if you think Willis isn't a huge part of this team's success you're wrong. All the guys are playin' well. Good thing they play better than you post. You're like the Johnny Jones of posters.

He's the best two guard in UK history , I can't see another two guard in our history doing this as a freshman .
Will be interesting to see how he does in the league compared to Booker who I think will be Klay Thompson with better ball skills at his peak
