Probably Cal's second-least hyped class and it gave us Towns, Booker, Lyle and Ulis. [laughing]

Hyped? Good topic. I'd rank the classes on hype at 2009, 2011, 2013, 2016, 2010, 2014, 2015, 2012. I'm more heavily weighting having the #1 player in Wall, Davis, though, I guess one could argue 2014/16 are more hyped because of the number of top 25 guys. I'm also biased because the 2011 class lived up to the hype.

I was expecting to see just a bunch of threes splashing. That's Booker's bread and butter, but dude has got a nice mid-range game, attacking the basket. Still one of the youngest dudes in the league too. Kid's going to be a complete stud.

Isn't he THE youngest player in the league?

I'd say the 2013 class was more 'hyped' than 2011, and possibly the more than 2009 (you can never top Wall, but overall). Again, HYPED...certainly not better.

Yeah, I'm going to be hanging out with the wine-loving lass and two gays so I'm just along for the ride for Sonoma.

I just want to experience the city, see the Golden Gate, Muir Woods and Sausilito.

There's a pretty neat geyser out there in Napa also. They call it the Old Faithful of California or something like that. Erupts pretty consistently.

Cleveland is going to reach for a QB in the 1st round IMO. Should draft another position of need (i.e. everything minus maybe WR/TE) and take a QB in the 2nd but Browns are gonna Browns. Their annual eff up is a tradition unlike any other.

Sounds like the combine is carrying less and less weight each year, which is a good thing.

Has a nice north-south drive game that's always been underrated, as well as his "explosion" at the rim (similar to Murray in that regard).

Class Hype IMO:

1. 2009
2. 2013
3. 2011
4. 2016
5. 2010
6. 2014
7. 2015
8. 2012

So, 3rd most hyped by my estimation.

the UL Board problems is their biggest and most painful problem to fix for their fans now, not the bball scandal or Ramsey. But help is on the way!

Bevin is apparently/allegedly all #L1C4 #LouisvilleMan. and will get rid of negative empty barrels on the board & replace with the appropriate personnel.

2013 had 5 of the top 10 players and were the group that started the 40-0 talk as freshmen. I'm pretty sure they were the most hyped class.

Yeah. 2009 was more shock/surprise and reservation than hype. People couldn't believe it and weren't sure how all those freshmen would learn to play together so quickly.

Once the UNC game happened it turned into #allin on a title, but preseason was not nearly to the 2013 level

'09 we didn' know how to get hyped for a class, a lot of us were still pining for Dominique Ferguson and tracking Steven Avery's growth spurt potential.

I also think once this season is over, the incoming 2016 class will receive more hype than the '11 class. I think Davis, MKG, Teague might have a little more hype than Bam, Monk, and Fox, but Gabriel, Killeya-Jones >>> Wiltjer. And we still have the possibility of adding Bolden, which would be absurd.

I really liked Dom Ferguson. Thought he looked like a ball player.

Dakotah Euton takes the cake, though.

What added to 13's hype was that we were slogging through the 12-13 regular season and then the wheels came off at Florida but we all knew we had monster class the new Fab Five waiting in the wings to put that nightmare to bed. It grew from that to 40-0 (idiots) and took a life of its own. Funny though they did finish out exactly like the Fab Five did.

*BOT should recruit exclusively in Fern Creek.

*So this story about the construction guy finding the knife buried at OJ's house is pretty wild. Obviously has no bearing on a conviction of the guy now but whatever. Almost a little too convenient this story pops up when that TV show about him is airing.

*Really think you all need to be talking more about Billions. If for nothing else, Giamatti is excellent and the gal that plays his wife is :fire::fire:

*Crazy to imagine that as good as the incoming class is, we may not even end up with the top ranked class.

Maybe more hyped than 2011, again just on sheer numbers (TWINS!), but no class will ever get more hype than 2009. Not even close. Especially considering how starved we'd been. 2009 caused a statewide year long orgasm, so nothing can touch that.

Davis/MKG/Unlikeable/Waterfountain were pretty damn hyped. 4 McD AA's, top player, top PG, top SF who'd been known forever, and a McD AA sniper PF. 2013 was pretty hyped too, some of it on numbers, but it's close. 2011's title may be clouding the look back a bit for sure.

Think I would definitely put the 2014 class as the most under-rated. Towns was like barely top 10 most of the year. Booker wasn't top 25. Wrong.

Just in terms of hype, '13 > '09. There was no preseason 40-0 talk for that '09 class.

That's because 2009 was joining a ton of suck, and UK fans hadn't re-built up irrational expectations. And we'd just won a title 2 years before. There is no chance UK fans were more excited about 2013.

What's up with your missing rockers, Bonzo? (Pygmies)

http://www.al.com/news/index.ssf/2016/03/velcro_pygmies_bassist_restaur.html

^ that doesn't sound good.

Speaking of rockers, My Morning Jacket playing 2 shows this summer at Iroquois Amphitheater? That's pretty huge. Modest Mouse as well. Obviously I don't care for 95% of the shows, but that place continues to raise its profile in terms of the 'bigger' name talent they are bringing in there...

Well, back then the accepted narrative in CBB was that a freshmen-dominated team couldn't win a national title.

So according to Drew's flow chart no matter what we're on the opposite side of the bracket from TAMU/Vandy. That's pretty awesome. Plus home court and all.

Like SECT day games over night ones...just a personal preference.

6pm isn't bad though. Do not like playing the last one...

Have to worry about it plenty, primetime games will mess up our dinner ressies.:)

Always preferred to get ours out of the way early, freeing up the day for brotherhood, gambol, and watching the other games around the country.

Our football players steal parking meters.smh

William Thomas Collins, 23, is charged with alcohol intoxication, criminal mischief, theft and fleeing and evading. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Fayette District Court.

A police report says an officer saw Collins and another person were walking on the sidewalk on East Maxwell Street. The police report says Collins was carrying a parking meter. When they saw the officer, they took off, according to the report.

Most iconic sports image of the 20th Century IMO.

Just imagine if he could tie his shoes???

Or had a real basketball goal as a kid instead of his momma's arms and titties for the hoop & backboard..

He has now pissed the couch twice, his own bed twice, and another girl's bed once just this semester. We think he has a problem.

No...that's for when he starts shitting himself, and then the only concern is if you killed him after beating his face in.

I'm going to be hanging out with the wine-loving lass and two gays

BBdK and Rob tagging along? Hi-ooooooooo:boom:

-Probably missed this in the slew of recs, 31, but I understand SF's Little Italy is worth the effort..

I can listen to all of the KSR podcasts but no way I can listen to the Tyler Thompson one. I'm sure she is a fine writer and all but her voice is nails on a chalkboard to me.
