What if they were to beat Duke this weekend?
Not a ringing endorsement for the quality of the ACC.UL might be the best team in that league. Pitt will get in. 8-9 seed.
Then Duke shouldn't get in either; wouldn't bother me. The way I look at it they have been over-seeded so many times and been given two NC's as a result, 09-10 & 14-15, that getting bumped once would sort of even things out. Lunardi stating on TV during our game with AL that Duke was an obvious #1 last year, even though they didn't win the ACC regular season or tournament, was a joke. What if they were to beat Duke this weekend?

If you can't win your conference regular season or tournament then you don't belong as a #1, period! Using your logic, UK beat ND while ND whipped Duke twice, including the ACC tournament championship. If UK would have had Duke's path in either 09-10 or last year we would have had the easier path and probably the NC. Bilas has even stated that UK would've more than likely beat Duke in a match up for the NC. The "teams" that beat UK amounted to one, WISC .Yeah Duke beat WISC but their road there wasn't near what UK's was and we were the clear top number one seed. Screw Duke and their easy *** bracket year in and year out.Well Duke last year was the Big 10 Champion as you know. (Two wins each over Final Four teams Michigan State and Wisconsin) ACC race means little anymore with unbalanced schedule. It must be nice to not have to work for a title. (All they had to do was beat the teams that defeated Kentucky.)
In terms of Pitt, I haven't looked at their overrall body of work. Florida State made the tournament one year with a 6-10 ACC record however they had OOC wins over Arizona, UCONN and Florida. This was back in either 98 or 99.
More teams are going to get invited from the Big 12 and ACC this year just like last because those leagues have a lot of good teams that beat each other up all season.

Could be, but when you have tough draining games instead of easier opponents it takes something out of the tank. If WISC played Duke the way they played us I believe they would've won. They used up their energy in a "get even" grudge match with us. Duke's preferential treatment by the selection committee is a topic discussed well beyond the BBN. Again, screw Duke and their easy brackets. "What if history" cannot be proven but I'd bet a paycheck, if possible, that UK would beat Duke in 09-10 & 14-15 in a head to head match up for the NC.Duke was waiting to play Kentucky in both 2010 and 2015, Kentucky didn't take care of business against teams Duke handled in the next round.

Where are you cheaters projected to be in the tournament?Pitt has been in the NCAA tournament every year Dixon has been there other than 2012. This is not a great Pitt team, but they certainly belong in the tournament. They swept Syracuse and beat Notre Dame at South Bend. They could use another couple of wins, but Lunardi currently has them as an 11 seed.
Sir, I am very proud of how this team has handled a self-inflicted punishment for something that none of the current players had anything to do with. I think it is very easy to be motivated and play well when things are great and times are good, and not so easy when you have nothing to play for. I actually could not be prouder to be a UL fan at this moment. To me, this is one of RP's best coaching jobs, and it speaks very highly of the attitude and example set by Lee, Lewis, and the other players.Where are you cheaters projected to be in the tournament?

You sure about that?Sir, I am very proud of how this team has handled a self-inflicted punishment for something that none of the current players had anything to do with.
You have no idea if any current players are part of the cheating. And that you have never been prouder to be a tard fan speaks volumes about the warped mindset your pathetic fanbase has about your low life cheating program.Sir, I am very proud of how this team has handled a self-inflicted punishment for something that none of the current players had anything to do with. Absolutely sure. Headed out to buy my daughter a UL jersey today. She attends UK, and requested it-in black. UL isn't a coach, or a set of circumstances. It is the fans, the city, and the tradition. We make up the University. We aren't going anywhere. You sure about that?
Changes nothing, Duke didn't deserve a one seed and especially didn't deserve an easier bracket. If you can't get up for your conference tournament championship, against a ND team UK beat and Duke had already lost to before, you don't deserve a one seed, particularly if you didn't win the regular season title either; easy bracket virtually every year no matter the resume.Duke beat that same Wisconsin team on their home floor in Madison Wisconsin when they were all hyped up.
Actually, it's the University of Louisville. It matters who you employ and who you continue to allow to represent that program.Absolutely sure. Headed out to buy my daughter a UL jersey today. Hell Naw. They would get smacked on a neutral court by UNC, UVA, and a healthy Duke. Hell, I would probably take Notre Dame and Miami on a neutral court as well. They barely beat UNC and a depleted Duke team at home because of some unbelieveable home cooking. UVA B!tchslapped them at home.UL might be the best team in that league. Pitt will get in. 8-9 seed.
At least your daughter had the intelligence not to attend your ghetto commuter school.Absolutely sure. Headed out to buy my daughter a UL jersey today. She attends UK, and requested it-in black. When you have no standards it easy to be proud. Proud of Ramsey and his scandals, proud of Karen Sypher/Rick Pitino debacle, hiring a coach who had just been fired for an affair, lying about it and one in which no other big time program would touch and now these Charlie Strong allegations, I understand yet to be substantiated. This along with all of the BS with football players kicked off of other teams, Pitino's infamous indefinite suspensions and now whoregate. My, how you must be proud! But, I guess you could look at it one way, what else could go wrong? The worst is over! You sure that is the light at the end of the tunnel and not another train?Sir, I am very proud of how this team has handled a self-inflicted punishment for something that none of the current players had anything to do with. Wrong current players took part in the Minardi Hall strip show, it happened over 4 years and even one of the current players is pictured in the book. Bottom line UL should have to pay back all monies earned in basketball for 4 years, vacate all wins and titles and at a minimum get a 2 year ban from tournament and a 2 scholly reduction for 4 years. Hell look at the punishment we got for $1000.00 and it is documented UL's was at least $10,000. Remember you cannot spell adulterer without UL.Sir, I am very proud of how this team has handled a self-inflicted punishment for something that none of the current players had anything to do with. A self inflicted punishment? None of the current players? Mango Methane was involved, his picture is in the book. They were told by the NCAA not to play in the post season. They didn't, nor would they ever, self inflict.
I think it is very easy to be motivated and play well when things are great and times are good, and not so easy when you have nothing to play for.
"Us against the world" has always been considered a motivation.

This doesn't surprise any of us. We all know how delusional you people are. Is it a source of pride for you that they didn't actually KILL any of the hookers?
To me, this is one of RP's best coaching jobs, and it speaks very highly of the attitude and example set by Lee, Lewis, and the other players.
Best coaching jobs? There you go again with your "win at all costs" attitude. A "good" coach doesn't allow his players to lay with whores. A "good' coach doesn't have sex on restaurant tables where decent people eat. He's a piece of feces, yes, but he is better than you deserve.
I am not sure I could have said it better myself. Classy post Chipper. I have to agree, I am so proud of our program as well. None of these kids or current coaches were involved in this scandal. They are being punished for the sins of a former rogue assistant and untrustworthy hooker and they've handled it all with class and dignity. I am not sure there has ever been a better time to be a Cards fan and like you I'm not sure I've ever been prouder of my program.Sir, I am very proud of how this team has handled a self-inflicted punishment for something that none of the current players had anything to do with. To add to that, the NCAA has to change it's ways. It's unfair to have these innocent kids sit out the tournament. Was there wrong doing? It seems there was at least some but we'll have to wait to actually see how much. I think the schools should be fined for their actions instead of banning them from the postseason. What does banning them accomplish? You have kids who took no part in these alleged incidents. You have a coaching staff that knew nothing of what was going on and if they did would have put a stop to it. I understand there has to be some punishment but the NCAA is outdated in it's ways. No way these innocent kids should pay the price. The university should have to write a check to the NCAA and then let's all move on. Seems fair enough for everyone involved.I am not sure I could have said it better myself. Classy post Chipper. I have to agree, I am so proud of our program as well. Yes, Rick is still the coach. What does that have to do with anything? He clearly had no idea this was going on so why should he be punished? More importantly, why should the kids be punished for something they were not a part of?Pitino is still a "current coach" isn't he Petjurino?
If this was UK, I'd be more than embarrassed that my school's basketball program had done such horrible things.

Duke sucks! Period, don't know any other way to put it.As recently as both 2013 and 2012 Duke was a #2 seed matched up with the overall #1 seed. In 2010 all five teams Duke faced after the first round were Kenpom top 20 teams and three were top 10. For reference to what other teams faced that year, before losing to West Virginia, Kentucky had knocked off numbers 143, 59, and 42.
