So a guy who grew up and lived 2 minutes from Doss high school is completely blasting people who lived miles away from it for saying it is hard to find ??? Yeah everyone in Madisonville should know where Pride Avenue school is, I mean I lived a block from it for years, I knew exactly where it was, no way everyone who lived in Hanson / Grapevine should not know where it is. SMMFH.
I love Better Call Saul, but for some reason, I enjoy it better when I save up 2-3 episodes and binge watch it. It feels like watching it one episode at a time kind of makes it not as good, even slower at times than normally. Weird, but it may just be me. Watched episodes 1and 2 back to back last night. Will wait and watch 3/4 together.
Cats CANNOT let one slip away tonight, Bama is backed in a corner and fighting for their tournament lives. I hope the guys do not take the beat down @ Bama as they are by far the superior team and do not need to bring it for 40 minutes. They have to treat every game like it is the most important one. This team has struggled with that, but at least it is at Rupp, coming off at heartbreaker they should have won. That should have them pissed off, ready to roll. They can not get up big like they did against Miss State and start to cruise.

Read 11/22/63 and that book got weird there around Act II. I assume the show is on Netflix or some channel I don't get.
Speaking of Upward, had to sub and coach my kid's Upward team (only available rec league for my daughter this winter) the last two weeks and they won 40-14 and 35-13. Some might feel like I should have called off the full court press towards the end of the game. Those people are losers.

apparently the latest talking point is that the self ban is so so smart, because the NCAA has not issued a multiyear bball tourney ban in 20 years. this years time is surprisingly good & could have gone far, but NEXT year's team will be 10X better. a consensus no doubt top 5 team all year long, lead by HOFCRP!
great decision to bite the bullet now & get it over with since the chances are zero they would get a 2 year ban!

Not really. I don't think he's a good enough shooter to justify all of his other shortcomings, at that level.

That was tongue-in-cheek about FIL (although they have been dating forever).
Was hoping the 4 weeks was more of a general prognosis that didn't take into account the significant treatment/rehab he will undergo. And also the necessity of needing him out there playing through some pain.
He's not nearly as athletic as either of those guys. I just don't know where you would hide him defensively.
Who talks to their Father in law daily? If the dude trying to nail my daughter tries to talk to me daily I can't imagine the levels of redass this would cause.

After 3 weeks of ballin', here's my GEL player by player evaluation:
Richie- most in shape besides Bonz, fierce on the drive, potent pull up j, that is who you were guarding Bristol. He's a tough matchup. Not sure if the Lex crew has anyone up to the task.
SAE- nice stroke, effective on the drive, handles bbdk on the reg, starting 2 guard when we go against the Lex crew.
Bucket- thought he was Rampage.
Bonz- most ready to go full court, non stop motor, willing to snag tough boards, tenacious defender, and his offense is improving weekly. Probably coming off the bench but could snag a starting spot if 73 continues to no show.
Bristol- willing to mix it up, not afraid of physicality, just needs to shake the rust off, looks like Mark Schlereth and the killer from Cobra had a kid.
Rampage- thought he was bucket.
73- his starting spot is up for grabs
bbdk- tried to do an Iverson step over staredown with SAE as Tyronn Lue but missed the shot, he's finding more of his game each week, best stroke, solid handles, very crafty, starting pg even though I have about 3 times the number of assissts than he has, he's good even though I hate him.
Bellydancer- solid all around, every board seems to fall right to him, nice jumper, good, heady player. He's the 5th starter as of now.
Lex crew needs to get some games under their belt. We're starting to form some chemistry. I like my team.

And he is part owner of my local watering hole/golf course. He is a cool cat and seems to be fine with his daughter banging the Beast from Bullitt East. He at least comes across as fine with it when we all rag on him about it.
He may have been touching with me - can't put that past him - but that's what he told me.

Have a few I literally just sit there and watch the phone after hanging up...typically takes about 12-30 seconds for them to call again.
-SAE & I are a solid matchup...I enjoy it b/c we're probably the 2 most similar/even players out there in terms of style (and current fitness level lol). He knows who got the best last night, not sure it was too close. Sure he will get me back next time (doubt it tho). Hope the ankles are okay -- better be glad I missed that. :sunglasses:
