If I could do what Aaron Gordon just did one time, you could immediately murder me afterwards and I'd be cool with it. Incomprehensible.

A lot of teams took losses this week too. A&M will be a nice test for us next Saturday but if we manage to get through that game we will be rolling into the postseason with a revenge match against LSU.

I really like where we are right now. Most likely in Louisville the first 2 rounds which could end up factoring into a second round game if they can line us up with IU I think they will. But that's getting way ahead of things too.

The Aaron Gordon dunks were just ridiculous. Can't hype them enough.
Didn't watch, how did he lose? They looked better than ZLs.

What a time to be alive. Cats are picking up momentum. 3 weeks left until tourney time. Rival is going on heavy probation.

No matter what happens, what Cal has done with the #lafamilia the past 7 years will show dividends for 2 generations. Unreal.

We are becoming the "cool" team for kids with no natural UK rooting interest.

I put my tix up on Facebook Tuesday when I realized I wouldn't be able to go. 3 different parents expressed interest because their sons love UK and they had never been to a game. None of the parents are fans of UK or are from KY.

The people I gave them to are an Ohio State and a Michigan State grad who live in Loveland, OH. They came and picked up the tix and their 13 yr old son was dressed head to toe in UK gear.

And after yesterday with Trey Lewis' comments about "being on a short leash" and "in shackles" while "constantly looking over his shoulder" because Mitchell is starting to step up my first two thoughts were..

a) did you not watch a UofL game before transferring there? Every one of his first year players is essentially playing with shackles on, if they even see the court.

b) that little kumbaya ******** about having each others back, winning one for the crypt keeper is crumbling with a quickness.

Two straight loses has players saying it's hard to go out there and take the court knowing they're just playing out a string for nothing. Figure one more 'L' and we may be treated to some in-fighting and possibly a whistle blower in the athletic department on The Sexing of Minardi Hall.

Great time to be alive, indeed.

True or False:

This is our best offensive team under Calipari.

If Bledsoe was hitting from 3, the 2010 team still has the highest offensive ceiling of any Cal team.

HOT TAKE...

Losing Poythress has allowed this team to adopt more of Ulis' personality and less of Poythress' personality. Poythress being a senior and playing a ton of minutes, his demeanor and personality are going to carry over to his younger teammates.

It be interesting if we see Sirmons again this year. He reffed the final 4 last year so at least someone thought he was good. This ejection probably had more to do with the Kansas game than USC. I'm happy Cal got his money's worth once ejected. Marcus.

Went and saw the 80/B$ baby. Cute kid. Can't wait till he's busting heads for UK football.

What does SGNI do again, is he really on vacation more than me?

WINTER.

Just noticed that the coaches poll dropped UL last week, even after they beat unc and bc. Still got a few votes, so looks like they weren't removed from the ballots. I guess a bit of an FU from the programs who aren't using hookers as the cornerstone of their recruiting.

I know coaches are totally FOS when it comes to how much they love the other coaches, but besides his direct tree, coaches have to all despise Pitino, right?

Indiana at home may very well be a top 5 team. Top 10 at worst.

IU on the road probably isn't top 50.

...and this goes for pretty much every year when they are 'decent' overall. Guess it says a lot about Assembly & a lot about Tom Crean, at the same time.

I bet against them on the road/for them at home, no matter WHO they're playing. Quite a profitable strategy over the years...

My boss is an IU fan and has given multiple winning picks when it comes to them this year, including today. It seems his strategy pretty much is spot on with yours.

-I have a high tolerance for pain, but OMFG it has truly sat in now 48 hours post surgery. I began to feel again late last night and increased my pain med use but today is on another level.

- Sent the family out for Vday and the wife has earned whatever damage she does to the bank account over the past 2 days. Honestly the 2nd time in our 9 year marriage Vday has got any recognition from us at all.

This team has become the offensive team we THOUGHT we were going to have...we were dismal early. Been a fun thing to watch.

...defense is where we win our games, when we're engaged we're pretty nasty.

The more I watch this team progress and watch the rest of the nation be marginal, the more I think we have about as good of a shot of a run as anyone...save a few teams. We're easily in the '2nd tier' if there is even a 1st.

Vegas agrees, we're currently 6-8th according to them...OU/UNC tied for 1st pretty much everywhere, at a *very* non-convincing +800 or so average.

It's 'wide open' has become pretty common talk over the years, save last year and a few others -- but this year it's really true, more so than maybe any year I can remember.

Gonna be an interesting March for sure. Nobody wants to see Ulis/Murray, that's for damned sure...we've seen a great back court, or even ONE great guard, do it too many times recently -- and this time WE hold that card.

Wow. Minny 0-12 in the B10. I figured they'd be bad, but not 0-12 bad. Guess little Richard is sitting out of the post season in solidarity with pops. He still getting ridiculous COY chatter or nah?

Stay ahead of the pain Krazy, take your pills at a regular interval, as prescribed, before you feel like you need them for the first few days. Nothing wrong with that, that's why they gave them to ya.

Did they put you in a cast? Read up on compartment syndrome. Happened to me when I had my wrist done. Pain meds wouldn't even take the edge off.

Which is what everyone is thinking, so of course the E8 will be straight chalk.

True or False:

This is our best offensive team under Calipari.

False. I don't think there can be any question that the 2011-12 team was the best offensive team in the Cal era. Over the course of the season, they averaged 78PPG, shooting 49% FG with 13APG. The balance on that team was unreal, with nearly 6 players averaging double figures. By this point in the season, it was rare for that team to have a "bad" offensive possession. Maybe not the flashiest (2009-10), but easily the most efficient and dangerous. Also, that team was disgusting in transition.

Where this year's team may have an edge is in "smartness" and shooting (post-Auburn). When you watch the last 6-7 games, it's pretty remarkable how often Murray is getting wide-open shots. Part of that is Ulis controlling tempo and scoring. But the biggest factor IMO is that Murray is learning how to run to spots for his shot, rather than just spotting up. Willis is slowly figuring out the same thing.

Not saying we would but isn't WVU essentially the same team we waxed last year? Anyways I'd feel pretty confident with Ulis against any pressing team.

Lol, you guys are really stupid. I will not be in Nashville. I'm not going, time for all the butt-hurt people to accept and move on.

Funniest thing is, most of the ones talking the most NEVER go to the SECT.

It's my favorite "fun" weekend of the year, for sure..and it's basically 2 days. I'll be at 95% of them for my entire adult life, as has always been the case. That means missing 1 every very rare once-in-awhile.

...7 days at my favorite place vs. Nashville for the 12th year in a row = I'm fine. Trust me. If I wasn't, I'd go to Nashville. Not like I couldn't change my mind...I don't want to. I'm not mad at this team at all, I love them at this point -- it boils down to a 1 week vacation vs. 1 day (work)...and this year we're going beach. Very humbled how upset everyone is about it, though. Means a lot.

Talked to BigA at the gym today, and learned MCF is out as well (Vegas). Wondering who this huge "crew" is Anth keeps talking about? Does he mean him + Beans? B/c that's what it seems like it's down to at this point...

What day you rolling down to Nashville, Ochs? You riding with Chad? (lol)
