Not overtly because that's not his style, he was just on Jason Anderson's show and he was shocked and puzzled at how Self is using Diallo and Bragg. He also questioned why Selden is now basically a spot up shooter, when he played much more aggressively during the World University Games.

Cheick Diallo, Hunter Mickelson, and Carlton Bragg must not exist anymore. It's not even surprising. It just makes no sense whatsoever.

world game competition is a joke. easy to be and look aggressive there.

self did the right thing by playing seldon as a SF. he isnt good enough as a SG. at SF there is a potential mismatch he "could" exploit. he has never been a good finisher around the rim so spot up shooter isnt bad. but keep in mind none of this helps me be a pro one day. maybe in china.

diallo is a head scratcher. there is a big difference between skal and diallo. with skal, we have guys like poythress and lee who are really good and willis who has gotten better at the things he needs to do in order to get time. so Cal has options. self has lucas....who might be the worst player ever. and traylor isnt much better.

Self does whatever he can to hold studs back. I mean, who denies this anymore?

He'd hold back Demarcus cousins and site the same bulls***.

He's not a OAD type coach. I have no idea why OAD's want to play for him. It's slowing down for sure.

Self says a freshman (OAD potential) must "earn" his playing time. What he is really doing is limiting his playing time so that it will be necessary for a OAD to become a 2AD.
I bet Diallo will do like Skal and go to the NBA..Bragg will return..

I saw a legit NBA mock draft that had Bragg going 1st round last week....if both Diallo and Bragg leave after this year I'm going to laugh my *** off!!! The new rules mean you can't hide guys from NBA workouts and feedback after the season Bill.

I will not be surprised to see Diallo and Bragg play a lot of mins Saturday. Self knows he has to win this game and probably win it comfortably. Not saying Kansas will win comfortably, just saying Self knows there's pressure to do so.

The Kansas pipeline is ending now that Cal is drinking Self's milkshake.

Once K retires from Duke, it will be a complete Calipari recruiting monopoly.

Here's a picture of Cal and Self on the recruiting trail. That's Cal on the right.

Kansas' '16 recruiting is abysmal. Self's only hope of fielding a contender next year is by holding his studs back. It's already biting him in the *** on the recruiting trail.

Self's the kind of coach who would have preferred Wiggins returning for a second year if it were up to the coaches.

**Agreed....the only time it works for a OAD there is if Self has no recourse and simply can't help it - they're just too da*n good to use the excuse - i.e., X. Henry & Wiggins are the only ones that I think he ever had as OADs that started from the get-go & continued to throughout....even Embiid didn't start 'til their nonconf. game in Kansas City against New Mexico in early Dec. And Oubre didn't really start 'til just before Christmas.

**Bragg should have high hopes as a 2AD as he could put up Perry Ellis number but in an NBA players body. His stock should zoom up upon getting Perry's mins. next season.

Yet he still gets these kids to come there.

Thats what I can't figure out is when the whole world knows that he holds these kids back, why do they keep signing up to go there?

**Izzo had always been anti-OAD and much like K I think he's rethinking it and has a quality '16 Class now which could very well see Josh Jackson added to it as well......I'd say look out for him / them.

If Diallo leaves after this season then it was pointless for both parties for him to go there. Kansas is getting zero from him on the bench and he's getting zero from them either. If Self wants to keep recruiting top players that are potential OAD's he'd better let them play through some mistakes, at least to a point. Otherwise, every school that's recruiting against Kansas will point to this example and say "this is what they do".

Lying Roy is worse than Self, Self still gets top players, Roy don't.
