It didn't seem to matter that Ulis out rebounded Lee and Poy combined. Neither deserved to be on the court for one minute so why are you so fixated on Willis?

I'm not the one that had a 4 page thread on Willis, that was you.

Willis played great today, and I hope he continues to rebound and play like that. Offense was never his issue.

If you want to take one game where Ulis out rebounded our bigs, go for it. Ulis is out rebounding Willis on the year, and Poythress/Lee average 3x more rebounds a game than Willis.

You guys that want to continue to slam Cal and say that this is the worst defeat and he is not a good x and o coach then go back to the awful Gillepsie years and Tubby's last 4-5 years when all he could get was 3 star talent and we thought that was great! In 6 years we have been to the FF 4 out of 6 years and a National Championship and Runner-up and a Elite 8 team and a team that lost our best Center Noel and was in the NIT because of that. There is no other Head Coach to get us to the FINAL FOURS 4 out of 6 and NC in six years and #1 or #2 Recruiting Classes in all 6 years. As all the Experts, Media, and opposing fans say we are never satisfied and the worst fans in America!

Haven't you guys used that one up yet? I don't see anyone slamming Calipari; just legitimate criticism. You think he is above any and all criticism?

One thing that hurt us the last 2 mins or so was that we became a two man team on offense....even a bad Auburn team can guard 2 people with 5.

We have to have overwhelming talent to consistently win. There is no way that we win these types of games with similar talent as OSU, UCLA and Auburn.
I disagree with this. Their players are less talented, sure, but they're juniors and seniors. Does anyone think this same group wouldn't best those others as juniors and seniors? Calipari just has to do his work in a very short time.

So, the idea that Calipari must have elite talent, better talent, to win is just wrong. It's a flawed argument.

Can't believe people care about the Robert Morris game. The season was over by then, and we were playing in their arena... just a weird circumstance.

This isn't the worst loss ever. Much like the Robert Morris game this one has very little significance... yes it hurts us for seeding purposes, but any rational UK fan knew we were probably going to lose 5 road games in the conference this year, and guess what this was? And Auburn, while not great, isn't absolute garbage. They have a good coach and kids who can hit 3's.

The worse loss to me is the one to Vandy in the SEC tournament in 2013. If we win that game we probably make the tournament... instead we get absolutely run out of the gym. That was the only time in Cal's 6 years here where the team didn't have it figured out by game 1 of the SEC tournament. That will be the test of this team, how good do they look in game 1 of the SEC tournament.

It really doesn't matter what kind of loss it was- all coaches have bad losses including Coach K, Izzo, Pimptino etc.

OP is a UL troll posing as a UK fan. If you'll remember, he was banned on the old site. He's back under the same name, because all of the bans were lifted after the new site redesign.

Robert Morris was a meaningless game but it was a loss in the record books none the less so it counts.
Worst losses in the Cal era
1. Robert Morris
2. 2013-2014 South Carolina
3. Ohio State
4. Auburn

So yes it's in the top five but not the worst.

Any game that ends your season is a worse loss than any loss that does not, and thst game ended our worst season under Cal. By that reasoning, you might be right in saying that Vandy game in the sec tourney thst year was the worst. Robert Morris was just the tinsel on the poo platter.

Cals worst lost here was against Wisconsin last year. A piss poor coaching job, terrible execution, and terrible preparation.

These kinds of losses happen here and there. Cal basically threw the Robert Morris game, so no.

We had no excuses not to at least make the title game last year. That's the most disgusted I've ever been as a UK fan under cal.

3 straigjt shot clock violations with the nations top team and in the final four no less.

By far, by far, his worst coaching job at UK.

@ACCCard you seem to enjoy our board and these negative threads.

I'll remind you, that UK owns your *** with or without Pitino, and Rick wishes like hell he'd never left UK. Suck on that. Your legend was better at UK, and regrets ever leaving.

Louisville will be slapped around in the ACC from here on out. Enjoy irrelevance.

Yeah, him and clearthebases. Two troll's who only like negative posts, but are afraid to post, because they know they will be humiliated by fans of a team that absolutely own their azzes

I rarely agree with this guy, but this is one time I do. All those NBA guys, and we lose? I'll never forget Wille, 3 point Willie

Given that it is Cal's plan that none of them ever become juniors and seniors while at UK...what is your point? Our lone senior kind of stunk the place up.

and you can't complain about his poor defense.

Yeah Willis did play better yesterday but he still
gave up a lot on defense. I will say he played
Much better than before tho. What the Willis fans do not realize is that if he is playing more then we are prolly not doing well.

Exactly right. This is the same chorus that some posters spout every time UK plays badly or loses a game. No mention of this BS when UK is rolling. Why? Bc they have an agenda. Also don't have a clue about college basketball or they would realize that recruiting is one of, if not the most important, part of a coaches duties. Not to mention the fact that the whole thing is just not true. Coach K and Izzo have both lost 2 games in a row to inferior talent. Do these posters think those coaches are also not elite X&O guys? Doubt it. Just no way to judge any coach on a small sample size. If you look at Cals overall record at UK and have an issue, then you have an agenda.

This one is really bad. But the 30 point loss to Tennessee a few years back when we lost by 30 was the worst. This one is bad though.
