Yeah UK basketball has regressed this season much like the football team has the last couple years. If you are going to rely on recruiting classes and freshmen you are taking a huge gamble because sometimes it doesn't work out, such as the case with 12-13 and this season. However usually Cal's system works but not this season.
Must be Cal's fault, We all know every freshman is supposed to develop at the same pace.
If Jefferson does not come back, Duke is a 6 player team. They have almost no room for other injuries or foul trouble come tourney time.
Duke looks good...I'll wait to see them beating up on top tier ACC teams before I'm really impressed though.
I'd still favor UK if the two played again...Duke doesn't have the athletes to stop our guys and UK can guard Duke's less athletic bunch.

Difference is coaching. Coach K coaches to each players strengths. Coach Cal wants to change every player to fit different positions and his style. If u watch Duke teams every year they play different styles of offense and defense according to their players strengths. Ky tries the same every year no matter what
When you have a glaring weakness like Kentucky does, soft in the middle, then everything else breaks down. You can't be soft in the middle or not have a pg, either one of those two and your team is going to struggle.
Cal insisting on the team throwing it inside in the last game is really worrying to me. I cannot believe he doesn't realize this team has to abandon throwing it inside and become a 3 point shooting sniper squad. All our bigs should be told that we are running nothing for them and whatever they get they have to earn it on the boards. Bigs should be blocking out, setting hard screens, and rebounding. That and playing defense like junkyard dogs.

Wrong, Alex can score, has moves and some touch. Id feed him at least 10 shots a game. A, to get some fouls on the other team and B, we damn well need it.
When you're a super star like that then yeah. Look I'm not trying to stop anything and I don't know if we will play again but currently I think we have advanced more than y'all have since our first meeting.. It probably won't matter though considering it's unlikely we even play again
I'll give you that you guys have advanced more than us so far. But it's hard for it not to look that way especially after we made you guys look pretty bad.
One of the worst takes ever. And to prove, Cutnets liked it. When that happens, you need to just retire.
We didn't exactly look like world beaters either. Skal had his first of many no shows that game.
