Sad. Condolences to his family and friends. Fairly sure he was around these boards for quite a while.

When I saw your title I thought you meant the actual gym. On my visit to Lexington last October Holmes Hall and the old student center were gone, but AG was still standing, likely to be renovated.

Alumni and I got into some disagreements on here, but never personal attacks, which I always enjoyed. The dude loved his Cats! RIP

His knowledge of UK basketball history was an asset to the fans , you start losing eye witness historical information as elders pass . As for his disdain of UNC , he may not have witnessed the punishment but he knew who they really were before he left .

I do not believe in lying about someone just because they died. I am sure Alumni Gym the man was great, but as a poster on here I thought he was an arrogant, I know more about UK basketball than everyone, I am the world's greatest fan and if you agree with me on 99 topics but disagree with me on 1, you are my enemy....type poster, but having said all that he was a passionate UK fan and may he RIP and prayers to his family and friends in this tough time.

Always enjoyed his posts, folks like him add much to the board. When things like this happen it serves to remind us that there are real people behind these screens, with families, friends and lives outside the computer screens. we have a good time here talking UK basketball, poking fun at each other and other programs. RIP and as a poster here well done sir!

He posted like could imagine my Dad would if he had an account. Like a crazy old man that actually liked the Cats too much, to the point of being UK dumb and blind to everything else.

Honestly the guy couldn't stand me, but I always grinned because I could imagine my Dad arguing with me like a fool.

Prayers for the family. I will miss his posting on a humorous level.

Alumni Gym was a very good poster. Sure, he got into it with some posters on here but many of us do that without even trying sometimes. I enjoyed the information he shared and his love of the Cats. On the old board, where we were allowed to have "Friends" on our home page, he was one of mine. We were able to request "Friends" from posters that we really enjoyed. Gonna miss him around here. Sorry for your loss, catastraphic, and for his family. RIP, Alumni.

It's not about lying IMO. It's about looking for the good in people when the pass. He was die hard UK. We've lost a brother regardless.

I agree, and hence me ending my post on the positives and a high note. This is all much bigger than sports anyways and we really did not even know the person, hence the "I'm sure he was a good/great man" part as well. Knowing him based on the message board, he'd respect the honesty and then come up with some creative comeback to me to own me. He was good at that, for sure.

Sad to hear...a good poster, too

Also, if you went to UK and played pick up ball, you know his poster name is just about the best one on here.

RIP Alumni Gym!
