Think it has more to do with K trying to build confidence in the players that just lost to Utah. The end of the second half will probably showcase more of the bench.
Makes total sense. Duke needs some confidence right now. They'll be fine in March though.
Because if Amile Jefferson is healthy, he plays the 4 and Plumlee plays the 5, so that puts Ingram as a Wing/Guard. But with Amile on the sideline, Ingram is needed at the 4 with his length.

Obi is an oaf, plain and simple. Ingram beats up on the lesser opponents, hasnt played great vs more athletic better teams.
I have a feeing Ingram with remain the 4 and Jefferson will take over as the 5 when he comes back because he is the better scorer than plumlee. K can't resist playing guys like Ingram at the 4. Tatum will probably end up being their 4 by Late Jan next year
Seriously? I dislike Duke as much as anyone but that's a silly statement given the series history since 1978.
Duke is like us.......They just need one more big man to man up soon and be more than just a tall body. Same as what we need......are you listening Skal, Hump, Tai?:weary:
I think last night was more about getting Jeter as many minutes as possible with our key players.
From what I have read/heard, the staff has realized it whiffed on Obi, and him showing up this season overweight hasn't helped his chances of getting playing time.
Vrankovic is a project of a player, and I doubt we see anything productive out of him until maybe his senior season. While he's another body to have for practice, to this day I'm still really puzzled why we gave him a scholarship.
