Lets give him a couple of weeks to adjust to a new climate....he just left summer time, new time zone and food....I will be ok if he is a beast by Dec. 26th...lol

Would love to get up by 30 on Saturday, and then throw him in there & see what he's got.
Not sure we'd see him at his best with jet lag, unfamiliarity with his teammates, shock of a new culture, etc. Save him to spring on UL.[winking]

This guy may never score 40 points in a game, but opposing teams are going to know he is there when they drive on him. I think he is going to be very physical.

I'm excited to see what he can bring to the table. Even if he's only able to give us a few physical minutes a game I still feel like that could be invaluable for this team.

How many UK big men have scored 40 points in a game?

Cal: Tai Wynyard won't practice Thursday. Maybe practice Friday. "If he's cleared to play, who knows?, I may stick him in game (Saturday)"

Could just be different customs where he's from or it could just be fashion and yes I know its random considering the excitement of adding a player but...is tai married? Rocking some very specific bling on that left ring finger.

That was a quick response off the top of my head,I'm sure there have been others, but you are correct it's not a common thing especially with today's plethoria of talent sharing minutes.
Thanks to Jon Scott's fabulous website, we can find the answer. Wildcat big men who have scored forty or more points in a game are:

- Dan Issel - 9 times
- Cliff Hagan - twice (I realize that he would not be considered a big man by today's criteria, but he did play the C/PF positions in his era)
- Bob Burrow - 3 times
- Melvin Turpin - twice
- Bill Spivey - twice
- Tayshaun Prince - once

So much for potentially red-shirting! I'm with Cal play him and lets see what he can do. In the big picture, 2 months is not going to make a difference in this guys pro potential.

most interesting thing: Cal never saw him play in person, only video. Crazy.
6'10 260 is 6'10 260.
6'10 260 jumping over another human being and dunking is 6'10 260 jumping over another human being and dunking.

I guess it could have been photo shopped but I highly doubt it.

Terrance Jones put up 40+ at Tipp once didnt he? I consider him a big man since he played the 4 spot.
