The rankings are a joke.

Not saying were UK ended up isn't about right but I laugh at the fact that we dropped from #1 to #8 with a road loss and yet UofL was ranked #24 and lost but instead of dropping out of the polls they jumped all the way up to #13.....lol. Yeah I know they played 2 games last week winning the other, but even splitting the weeks game usually teams either fall or stay around the same not jump 11 spots with a blow out of a scrub team. Surprisingly though Duke is still behind us in the polls though.

official rankings arent even official, hardly weighted or even used by ncaa selection committee.

those bloggers or whatever is just one opinion where the polls is a collection of journalist opinions or coaches secretaries.

I think we end up 5 or 6. But it matters not one damn bit at this point. Not one. All that matters is NCAA seeding.

And if we fall to 6 or so and take care of business the rest of December, as we should, with 4 wins, then we will be right back up in the Top 2 or 3 most likely, headed into SEC play.

Also to compare us with a team 24th is ridiculous. Has the OP even looked at what the other teams in that 20-40 range have done to see if any should move up or fall down.

Are you drunk? The polls aren't even going to be released for another 5 hours.

I just made my own ranking. I'm going to release it on Facebook shortly. UK remains #1 and UofL slid out of the top 25.

The voters "should" take into consideration that Ulis, Lee and Poy were all banged up in that game "at' UCLA.

I say Poy because he is still not 100% (maybe 85%)

I wouldn't drop UK much more than 1 or 2 spots.

If we were totally healthy and had our butts handed to us by 20 it would be a different story.

NBC sports has UNC, Maryland, then us at 3, and UL at 24. Sounds close to me.

Sorry, but the game I saw, we DID have our butts handed to us.

Hey let's get mad about something that means a lot...like a NCAA basketball poll in December!!

Absolutely! Thank You!
And anything other than the Coaches Poll is entirely useless. Does anyone honestly believe a bunch of un-athletic, pasty-white nerds with enormous egos know anything about the sport? Come on!

Do we think college coaches are paying much attention to dozens olf teams not on their schedule enough to make informed decisions? Coaches are going to know more about the game (though some media were players or coaches) but media watch a lot more of the other teams than coaches do.
