He originally decided to transfer to Oregon State and then they fired Craig Robinson so he made the move to Dan Monson's Long Beach State team because he wanted a big-time role where he was "the man." He's born and raised in Baltimore too so it was a shock to see him bounce from Maryland.
He's a badass player. Usually gets at least one or two throw downs a game and can hit the 3 ball.
One cool thing I didn't realize about LB State until about a year or two ago. They have had some pretty good coaches go through there.

Despite what we saw last week UCLA has for years had problems with attendance. The upgraded facility certainly helps, but their fan base is rather small overall, and jaded. It's not much different than what we see in the SEC. A sellout crowd vs UK, and the next game the place is half empty.

In the media room most of the questions were about bein amped up for Kentucky and then having to adjust for this game.
Bryce Alford said it was hard to adjust cause the teams were the opposite. They went from wanting Kentucky to shoot the three to trying to prevent the three ball from LBSU, even though they still made 11 3s.

man if Ulis didnt hurt his elbow...... we would of made them pay from 3pt range since Murray was 5-11 ... a healthy Ulis lighting them up would of opened that lane right up.
Murray didn't make most of those until it was over. We need offense to get him and Tyler good shots in that situation. And we should play Mulder.

UCLA was out for revenge from last years embarrassing loss,it was evident the refs were giving heavy home-cooking and it was a hostile environment for the young Cats.
I wouldn't take too much out of that game and comparing what happens with UNC is like comparing peaches with watermelons

Bruins play at Gonzaga Saturday, at UNC the Saturday after that. Two games worth watching.
He probably has someone guard him, and not let him take wide open 12-15 foot jump shots. It would have been an entirely different game, if Marcus had not gotten hurt. I like Humphries, but the kid is 17 years old, and just not quite ready.
I won't be watching. UCLA is terrible. If they were at home I'd be willing to watch, but we all know what to expect from UCLA away from home. I still can't get over how soft we we're the other night. Skal needs to go buy a pair of nuts.
Bruins needed that win over a blue blood the other night.. They're going to get murdered those two games and I'm gonna enjoy the sh*t out of it..

Keep in mind that they also lost two of their best players to the draft.. UCLA isn't good, period... Right now we aren't good either. Just admit we got beat by a bad team and away with the excuse of UCLA being a good one to make up for it..
It's irrelevant as to what UCLA does on the road just like any other bad team. Bad teams are capable of putting it together at home against anybody. We almost lost to Texas A&M last year. Actually, we should have lost. We will suffer road losses this year, that's for sure.
It is not so much that we lost a road game to a less than good team but how we lost.After the first few minutes wqe were never really in the game,we didn't put any pressure on UCLA to see if they might fold.Ulis wasn't 100% and Lee Got hurt but Poy hadn't shown any ill effects of his surgery leading up to this game.
The thing to watch is how we react to this game,the schedule does us a favor.We get the kick the $%!^ out of somebody game against EKU,then 3 pretty good tests with a week of practice in between two of them.Do we grow up as a team during that time,does the mindset of one or more players begin to change during that time does someone emerge as a player stepping up and taking on a new role on the team?
was this a one game fluke or is it something we will see happening from time to time during the rest of the year.?

Keep in mind they beat 6 seed SMU on a bogus goaltending call on a three-pointer in the closing seconds and then beat 14 seed UAB.
