UL is unranked because most human beings, and especially most that watch college basketball, are not blind. And the vast majority that are blind that watch, aren't retarded. This makes for trouble for UL and top twenty five polls.

Louisville will probably be ranked by the time UK plays them because they will beat up on a bunch of terrible teams while other ranked teams lose around them. They will enter January with just two losses, one to UK and the other Michigan State, but take around ten in the ACC which will land them on the bubble.

I'll just leave this right here...

"We had the best recruiting class, I think, in college basketball, as far as I'm concerned. If you include Damion Lee and Trey Lewis, plus Deng Adel, Ray Spalding and Donovan Mitchell -- Kentucky taught me how to get into the one-and-dones, and I'm doing it now, except I'm waiting for fifth-year guys instead of high school kids."

Once they get annihilated by Michigan State this week, all the chatter about them being ranked will disappear for a week or two until we wax them on December 26th.

 Unreal. I'm starting to think there's some mental imbalance going on with Rick. Could it be the early onset of dementia, or could his hair dye be seeping into his head. There's just so many odd, over the top statements from him anymore. (I mean more so than Rick's normal hyperbole)

So his OAD's are going to be 5th year guys? OK, there are some decent player's from that group, but there's a reason they are 5th year players. You can't tell me he wouldn't love to have the guys UK, Duke, KU, Cal, etc got. Problem is he's shown he really can't help them get to the next level like Cal can. He wants them to stay 4 years, and right now they're not going to do that for the most part. These guys aren't signing with schools so much any more as they are coaches, and he's just not one of them unless he's willing to change. Something I don't think he'll do. Fine by me. I'm happy to see UK beat them every year.

If they were actually good they would be ranked but their team isn't good. They have a couple of good players but nothing special. They also have beaten absolutely nobody. I can't wait to expose them as the losers they are. But unfortunately Michigan state will do that for us.

Why is the sky blue? Why are boobs good? Why is UL not ranked? Because they haven't played anybody yet. Easiest strength of schedule opponent is 336th and hardest is 111th besides Mich St. And UK.

There is nothing this man won't lie about. Even if you do include his transfers, it's still not close to the best class, and you don't count transfers anyway.

Wait! What? Did I read that right?
I will give him one thing he doesn't get discouraged gleaning that out of what appears to be a disaster, wondering if someone might have gave some of those working girls a nice Christmas present for denying and making Katina look like a liar.

They actually have a solid backcourt (the two fifth year transfers are decent players), but the frontcourt was way up in the air. Will the frontcourt struggle like last year and miss Montrezl's presence, or will they improve and take the next step this year? They've looked better against lesser teams, but Wednesday will be the big test.

They're not ranked because there are better teams than them. Sorry Pitino that is just the way it is. The voters aren't dumb and it really doesn't take that long to read the book. He really can't use that as an excuse!

just wow - I take what Pitino says with a grain of salt, anyway. But this is plain nutso.
You better get the whole salt shaker,I think he is smarter than we give him credit for being. He says stuff to get our(UK fans)attention,he wants to maintain contact with our fan base and program and this is one way of doing it.

you are very right about that - and once again it worked. I honestly don't think CLappy creeps me out as much as Pitino does

tards already setting betting line on mich st game.

iloveyoupreston says "My early line says -3.5 for MSU. That ain't close to upset territory"

then CardDave says "And Vegas typically gives a team 3 to 4 points for homecourt advantage....which means this game would be a pick on a neutral court."

Yes, they are delusional but not sure I can pick at that post much.

Jeff Sagarin is a pretty good Vegas proxy. I just looked and he has Michigan State 2 and Louisville 3. And MSU should be about a 3.5 point favorite, and it would likely be a pick 'em game at a neutral site.

Now,those ratings are bogus because it's too early in the season to have a meaningful stats driven analysis - he's got Villanova 1 by the way, and uk at 11. So uofl may (or may not) turn out to be crap. But on the point spread issue, those guys are likely right.....

i'll take your word for it because i never look at the sagarin ratings. i just thought this guy was wishfully making up the 3.5pt line since vegas hasn't opened theirs yet. i still think come wednesday the vegas line will be mst at least -8/-12pts.
