This is my vote of confidence, and show of support for Crean. I think IU would be really stupid to get rid of him. The only way I would support them getting rid of Crean, is if Cal decides to retire, and we could scoop him up to be head of the BBN.

B0'er, I volunteer you for the introductory smooching that you know will be coming if CC get's hired here. Don't quote me but I think CC has it in his contract that he personally gets to thank each and every member of the fan base(s) (You can definitely have my turn.)[laughing]

May be why the IU fans are so disturbed to this day....

My next door neighbor is an IU grad. and is actually buddies with the younger Knight. Anyway, as he was pulling in his garage, I ask "how 'bout that clappy?"
He had no clue... He doesn't really care about them anymore. When we talk hoops; he usually knows more about UK than IU.
My point is that Crean has taken them over the precipice of mediocrity. They are currently a "has been" team.

Thing is, UCLA won't keep Alford for much longer unless he makes a run, AND he played at IU. I wouldn't put it beyond him to go to Bloomington.

If Crean gets fired we must pray Alford lands at IU. He absolutely sucks.
I very much agree with this post - Alford would be almost as fun as Crean - seeing IU continue to suffer, with one of their own at the helm, would be all the more enjoyable.

The exact reason that the IU fanbase may not be real happy with Clappy's replacement. I don't see many really good coaches lining up to take that job.

I think he is doing such a great job that they should put his face on a dollar bill, and use it as the ofcial currency in Indiana.

IU with a 3 point loss to UNLV in that vacation tournament that means nothing. It's amazing how CTC can keep his players motivated. Most teams would folded up shop and got drilled by 20. CTC keeping his players focused despite them playing in a silly holiday tournament. That's solid coaching right there!

Peegs is negative. Coach Tom needs support!

Wonder what a sixth place trophy looks like? Anyway, more hardware and nets.

like there's pressure lol. you don't fire clappy the clown. you evolve to see things the clown's way. mess with him and he'll visit you at night.

Here's hoping they don't fire him. I love them staying irrelevant. With him there, that's guaranteed.

I know IU fans are busy eating turkey and dressing today but I'm sure that they are giving thanks for Coach Tom Crean and all the great things he's doing at IU...because IU fans know how lucky they are!

This thread is to show appreciation to Coach Tom Crean and the job he is doing as the Indiana Men’s Basketball Coach. Coach, don’t listen to the negative venom those knuckle dragging Neanderthals in Indiana are saying about you. A lot of us think your doing a fantastic job cleaning out that cesspool and bringing the IU basketball program back to its full glory! So Tom, don’t stop being you! Grab that IU flag and charge that hill! You can do it!

Nobody has mentioned that they are having a rally celebrating IU's good fortune for having Crean as its head coach. It is going to be held outside----in the phone booth.

got this wonderful wuote from peegs.
I was in Maui to support our beloved Hoosiers and I'm so proud of these guys. I think we need to sit TW more often. These guys are going to surprise some people. I think we need to embrace this team as they are rebuilding and we just need to follow CTC for a few more years as this is going to be amazing once it's on track. Let's not forget beating Kentucky in 2011.

At least one iu fan has some sense!!!!

I suggest to show pride in IU they need to candy stripe the court at Assembly Hall. Tom Crean will keep IU above their non-Knight winning percentage of 59.
