I saw a special on him when he was at Memphis. He has 2 year old child. Looked like a good dad to me.
And he could ball.

During his brief career at Florida in 1998, he had a lot of spectacular games:
- in his first game at UF, I think he broke the single game assist record with over twenty assists.
- he led UF to an incredible upset of the eventual national champs Kentucky in Lexington.
Had he not got kicked out of school for failing a drug test (MJ) on numerous occasions, he might have led Florida to the ncaas and who knows what kind of run there.

Williams was a wild child in his youth. In the NBA, he later toned it down and had a solid NBA career. Williams was also the PG on Miami Heat's first NBA championship in 2006.

Yeah, he could leap. So could Rex, and for a few of us old guys, we remember a guy named Bob Fowler. His nickname was Frog Fowler. He could leap better than any white guy I ever saw. He transferred after one year to Iowa St and died at only 31. I think it was a heart attack, but he collapsed at Keeneland.

Loved watching him when I was younger. He was always good for a jaw dropping highlight a game.

Don't keep replying to him. He's trying to get you to post a racist comment of some sort. He's trolling you and knows exactly why he's called white chocolate. That's his thing. He's a product of the Paddock so that should tell you all you need to know.

As for the OP. This topic isn't just outta left field, it's behind the field that's behind the baseball field.

I also wouldn't say he had hops. He really isn't a good leaper. BUT, he's an all timer when it comes to handles and passing. He was a magician with the ball. I remember a specific pass on a fast break where he was in the middle with a teammate on each side of him. He goes to pass it behind the back to the guy on his right and somehow the ball goes to the guy on his left. He didn't take his other hand and hit the ball behind his back to the guy on the left either. I'd love to see that pass again but I'd guess it would be very hard to find on YouTube.

A lot of Rondo's moves are moves that Williams did first. Like the dribble around his body move and then pass that he did against Florida that made everybody go nuts except the refs who called him for walking even though he clearly didn't. They had never seen it and were so stunned that they thought that he had to have traveled to pull it off.

It's why I posted a NYT article to prove it. How exactly he got that nickname is interesting though, and worth reading.

Back to his game, I wish he was a better shooter, that kind of handles with a good shot would have been incredible. If he played today, he would have been a Vine superstar along with Curry

He had style and flash. Williams played the game for the fun of it in a lot of ways and to see what he was capable of creating on the court. He was an entertainer as much as a competitor and athlete.
