I think Ayton will reclassify and we'll get him. Then we're in good shape with Monk, Simmons, Alkins, Bridges, Fultz, and Bolden. Hopefully we get more involved with Buike and Adebayo too.

Simmons
Bridges
Fultz
Bolden--works with Randle's mentor. He and his mentor talk about his game comparing to KAT.

Starting to like our chances with Monk after his brother talked about the Arkansas fans need to be nice if he chooses somewhere else

WE will sign 7 IMO and it will be those plus fultz , Monk and Ayton as well. I count Wynyard toward this year's class since he will be here this year.

Duke isn't the only place getting recruits now days. Cunzo Martin & Bill Self must be paying more too.

Not after my check clears! (Badabing!) you're right though, Kansas is recruiting plenty well, they just haven't made that deep tourney run with some of those high profile kids he's gotten lately. Maybe this coming season they will.

My sources say if Cal whiffs on the next class, they're prepared for his buyout. Honeymoon is over, folks.

What your predictions lack in accuracy they make up for in unabashed optimism. ;-)

LOL I'd like to think so . But hey no one can say my prediction on Murray was wrong ... :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:. But honestly i don't think that list is too far off . Monk , Simmons and Fultz are ours if we want them it at least seems . Bolden has the connection and Ayton seems enamored with us and DUke . Bridges is a tough one to call but i gotta believe Cal can sell him.

IMHO, we will sign 4-5 players:

Sign a Point/Combo Guard (Simmons most likely).

Sign two or three wings (from Monk, Alkins, Fultz, Bridges).

Sign one or two Bigs (from Ayton- if he reclassifies, Bolden, Killeya-Jones, Banks).

Some others could also turn up as well since its early (a la Murray, Mulder).

I think we return 7-8 players (Ulis and/or Lee, plus Matthews, Mulder, Wynyard, Hawkins, Willis, and Floreal).

7 or 8 back, plus 4-5 signees, puts us right at our scholarship limit.

Good lord UK fans are spoiled.

Yes - the year after winning a championship with 3 OAD recruits, Duke is flying high. Duke appears poised to do well this year with Tatum and potentially Giles and Frank Jackson, and next year, there are a couple of guys who are consummate Duke recruits who are really good - Wendell Carter, Gary Trent, Jr., and Michael Porter.

Meanwhile - other than Tatum, Giles, and Jackson - UK appears poised to haul in whoever else they want from the rest. Alkins, Monk, Bridges, Simmons, etc. are all recruits who seem to be immensely impressed by UK's ability to get guys drafted. We're seeing a bump from the 2015 draft class whether you guys realize it or not.

We're going to pull in an awesome class in 2016, and I think ultimately it could be the best clas overall.

We've never brought in that many since Cal has been here. Hopefully before the season is over we'll see whether Lee and Ulis are planning on jumping. Mulder and Matthews will stick around but I figure the rest will be gone. My guess would be more in the 5ish range.

I'd say Simmons is as much a lock as we've seen in a whille. I want Monk bad and I think we're in a good spot. If we get 2 of him, Alkins, Fultz, and Bridges I'll be thrilled. As far as big guys, I really don't know. I'd love to snag Bolden but I have no clue how likely it is. And I think Sach Killeya-Jones may be a possibility.

And as far as Ayton.......GOD I hope we get him. '16 is a down year for bigs so I'd prefer he reclassify but the only place I've heard that actually spoken of is this board, despite the sense it would make so we'll see.

My official guess....

Simmons
Monk
Alkins
Killeya-Jones
Ayton
Wynyard (but he'll be around this winter)

If that happens, it'll be #1. Giles & Tatum be damned.

JRP , we brought in 8 2 years ago but you and I are seeing the same things basically . WE will lose Poy , Skal , Briscoe , Murray for sure and then IMO Lee as well. So that is 5 and we have 2 ships still open now ( 3 if you count floreal's ) . Wynyard takes one in a few months . So

Simmons takes Murrays ride
Monk takes Briscoe's ride
Bridges takes Poy's ride
Fultz takes lee's ride
Ayton or Maker take Skal's ride
Bolden or another PF takes one of the open ones .
and IMO we add one more big like Sasha Kill-ya Jones as we will need size as only willis and sorta wynyard return .

So our team in 16 looks like this

PG- Ulis /Simmons/Hawkins
SG- Monk/Fultz/Mudler
SF-Bridges/Matthews
PF- Bolden /Willis
C- Ayton or Maker /Wynyard
