He tells people to put him on ignore....then if they start a thread on a topic where he may have already started tone, which they can't see if they have him on ignore, he whines to the mods about someone starting a similar thread to his.
He's also the first to supply bootleg links to games when in the past he has started threads calling out mods for not protecting newspapers when their stories are posted in full so people don't have to buy subscriptions.

No disrespect to Tom, who is a Hawkeye treasure, but as to the other posters' grievances, who but those posters really cares? I simply appreciate the content he contributes regarding the BKB teams. In my opinion, this appears to be an issue between Fran and Tom and the rest of us should consider staying out of this issue.
We all have the opportunity to read or ignore any post. If Fran upsets some of you, ignore him. However, Fran has kept the women's basketball board going on Rival's and this site has had very little women's basketball content since the inception.
Many of us want improved women's coverage on this site and content that will encourage traffic/participation. I would think ON3 would want and welcome more traffic to this site.
Some people live a life of depression, some are eternal optimists. None of us are the same or see things exactly the same.
I do think Tom and Fran should iron things out privately as I don't think it is positive in any way to call someone publicly a liar.
I think both of you are wrong in your approach on this dispute and as adults, find a way to resolve it quickly.

Youāre wrong about all of it. The issue is that fran has a problem with others creating threads and requires everyone to post in his thread and when people donāt follow āfranās rulesā he complains to the mods. Years ago there used to be a lot of activity on the FB and BB boards with a lot of people contributing but since fran has tried to take over, people have left the boards. Fran isnāt keeping the boards alive, heās the cancer thatās keeping the boards down.
You obviously donāt have all the history because if you did then you would understand why Tom did what he did. There have been other posts by mods to fran and thatās just to get him to stop his ways. Fran has a mental disorder, which is fine, but heās an *** too.
Also about Tom, if you had a site and a poster was lying and it had the potential to scare off posters, you too would want to set the record straight. Calling fran a lier is nothing knew, most regular posters know how he is.
