Just saw this on LinkedIn, and there is a YouTube video.
Petition: Joe Paterno Field
- Thread starter BobPSU92

Made me remember Joe’s memorial. So many great moments and quotes there. My favorite was Michael Robinson - ‘Coach never lied to me.’
In the dirty business of college football, a reminder about what a great, great man taught us all. Success with Honor.

This is not a new effort. I could not find a way to link the LinkedIn post here, so here are screen shots.

Pegula could start some positive momentum by signing, but he won’t.
Why, because it's not an Ice rink? I believe a certain person that has a library named after him because of his philanthropy. Not based on his own or his family wanting to be recognized.
I am shocked that Pegula has not signed.
Shocked I tell you. Shocked.

I’m sure it’s all just a misunderstanding. His internet must be down.
I think the only way that happens is if a single rich donor or a collective buy the naming rights. The timing would be perfect for the new or renovated stadium .
He's out of the country on vacation with Corbett and Surma.
I don't see this happening until some of the old guard involved in the shiitshow die off.
I’m not looking to get Barry jammed up, but maybe he can work some magic here.
On the other hand, meet the new guard, same as the old guard.
Ha. Seems this is also their exact hope for us.
Those of us who know Joe was the GOAT may die... but we will never fade away!
The greatest who ever lived. We Are... because he was
Apropos of nothing, I was shopping at a Costco in Frisco, Texas a few years ago with my son-in-law and my little granddaughter. She was singing that song at the top of her lungs way off key. (The kid takes after her grandpa.
) I pulled out the handy-dandy iPhone to record her performance and she goes totally silent. Some day I'll tell her this story and she'll not believe a word of it. Good times. OK! we name the field -- Paterno Field at Beaver Stadium. This would be quite an honor, but would only be mentioned during games within the stadium most likely.
I propose for the umpteenth time rename Curtin Road between Porter and University Drive as -- The Paterno Way. In addition, Beaver Stadium's address would become 409 The Paterno Way. Therefore Joe would be honored on every piece of mail sent from from the athletic/EMS offices. Above the South Tunnel (player entrance on game days), would read -- Success with Honor.
