They probably got the highest rating in a long time. I applaud cnn for trying to be balanced unless Msdnc and foxnews.

So having an antagonistic moderator in his face calling him a liar constantly qualifies as a Trump rally?

In fairness, he was lying constantly and blatantly. It's a typical Trump tactic, lie so frequently and blatantly that they just don't have the time or willingness to fact check you. He lies so frequently that it's almost shocking when he's actually honest.

The audience was definitely Trump supporters as was expected. That was stated at the outset. I don't really have an issue with that since that was sort of the purpose.

1000% and therein lies the issue with CNN/MSDNC/FAUX

They are driven by in order:
- MONEY
- RATINGS
- PROPAGANDA
- COMPANIES THAT PAY THEIR BILLS
- American Discourse
-
-
-
- American Public

There is ZERO intention to serve the public at large. They are driven by money and ratings which Americans are addicted to in the form of FEAR, PROPAGANDA, SHINY OBJECTS.

(My biggest accomplishment last night was getting my MSNBC addicted Lib MIL to now understand she is and has been a major Trump supporter for years.
Why? She turned on CNN which she never does.
“You and the MSNBC audience is the reason why Trump stays in the public realm and makes him more powerful cause you attack him daily. There are a 1000 stories buried that America needs to know and you can’t put the Trump crack down. MSNBC/FOX serve no purpose at all. They present as news but they are no different than illicit drugs. Get it now?”)

Embarrassed an old lady but at least she got it for the first time.

I hope the ratings were through the roof and social media BURIES the **** at these shilltastic channels do what they are.

Broadcasting a Trump rally live and trying to pass it off as a town hall is irredeemable as far as I'm concerned.

I have never watched cnn or any other cable news - other than election day - so I don't really care. I did not watch more than a few minutes of that town hall, but I have seen a lot of clips today. The only people who are creaming their pants over his performance are magas.

Anyone else who is moderate and/or independent watched a train wreck.
- he would not take a position on a national abortion ban
- he openly supported defaulting on America's debt
- he would not offer support to Ukraine
- he more BS claims about stopping the war in Ukraine in one day (reminding us all of his ludicrous promises to make Mexico pay for a border wall)

I say put him on every channel. Remind everyone what a snake oil salesman he really is. Biden should be visiting a construction project funded by his infrastructure bill every day. Let trump hang himself.

This. The more Trump is on Mainstream Media, the worse it is for him. He reminds people of who and what he is. That performance last night fires up his supporters and all of his detractors.

If I was his advisor I'd tell him to talk about his record, don't address the election any longer. Say,"I lost, I'm upset things ended the way they did and got out of hand"

Show just a scant of remorse/regret. He just can't do it. He will never admit fault. It's just who he is. He is probably clinically a Narcissist or Borderline Personality Disorder. He fits all the criteria.

I get both sides of this debate. I really do. I just don't like the pretending that he's a normal, legitimate candidate who didn't try to overthrow the government. He's a master con artist, and he'll use these platforms to run his con.

I disagree. It’s worse for the “intelligent” voter. Sadly, there are more idiots in this country who identify with Trump. They see a guy constantly attacked and they see the likes of CNN/MSNBC/FOX constantly talking about him.

The idiots of this country who have the same voting power you and I do just see the shiny object in front of them daily. And MSM is willing to strengthen him by giving him a platform EVERY MOMENT and EVERY DAY. CNN having him on validated him for many people.

Seriously….. look at MSNBC. They can’t remotely serve the public at all. Their entire reporting is on Trump cause he drives ratings and views. And if it’s not Trump, just hate speech on other Pubs. They actually support him and make him stronger. The content doesn’t matter. FAUX does the same thing mostly.

https://www.msnbc.com/
Every article is about him. I never looked at their page until a month ago. Now, once a week and it’s the same ****. Pathetic.

Why do you support a 25 time rapist traitor? Have you ever thought about that?
Why do you support a child molester and rapist that has sold the country out for millions of dollars and doesnt even know where he is half the time and is on camera groping dozens of kids including pinching the nip of a 7yo girl? Have you ever thought about that?

I've never seen pictures of Biden hanging out with Jeffrey Epstein.

I hear you on this so why did Fox sideline Tucker considering what it did to their ratings?

Because 787.5m
And the impending 2nd lawsuit.

There was just TOO much contradictory **** created by Tucker and therefore an easy target to lessen liability.

“see…. We got rid of our problem. Let’s settle for 25%”

Murdoch decided to take the high road to clean his brand and legal exposure.

Murdoch knew that, with all the other stuff that's going to come out in these impending lawsuits, keeping a white nationalist like Tucker on the air was going to bring down the company entirely.

Firing the racist lead anchor left Fox somewhat less exposed to future litigation and criminal liability.

First time in 15 or 20 years I watched CNN and enjoyed it so yes it was a great night for CNN

they need to do more of these

their ratings and profits will vastly improve

notice how the audience cheered Trump

did CNN plan for that

What blows my mind is that I sit here and read all these liberal takes on Trump about how he lies, and he is a con artist, he is a crook and thief.
I tend to agree with A LOT of it!
Then they blatantly support and give praise to the most corrupt administration that has ever held office. They will deny it, but it's mainly why a lot of people give your leftist view no credit, among other things!

If that town hall was a preview of his campaign, then he will get demolished. He is too focused on his base. We have seen in multiple elections that maga loses.

He advocated for pardoning people who stormed the capitol (including proud boys), enacting child separation again at the border, and a national abortion ban. Those positions will get @jakefest and @TigerGrowls all warmed up, but they are not popular with the vast majority of Americans.
