Can you provide data showing violence from the trans community is on the rise?

Given that the overwhelming majority of school shootings are perpetrated by straight white males, and 3 of the last 2k+ shootings where committed by members of the lgbtq community, I’d argue straight white males are the larger concern.

-The Colorado Springs shooter identified as non binary.
- The Denver shooter identified as trans.
-The Aberdeen shooter identified as trans.
-The Nashville shooter identified as trans.

Trans people make up 1m of the population.......that would indicate a rise, no?

The Human Rights Campaign reports that 1 out of every 5 hate crimes and shootings committed in the US is done against the LGBTQ community. Do you think all the vitriol being spouted by the right has contributed at all to these attacks? If so, it would be nice to see you condemn that with the same intensity you condemn the left for their perceived faults.

I don't condone any violence against any group of people regardless of gender, sexual preference, race or religion and that includes christian children. You would be hard pressed to find a single post from me that suggests otherwise.

Read somewhere this morning that only 2 Transgender murders/deaths were the result of a hate crime. Don't have the energy to find the source but would seem your data would conflict with that statement. Not all murders are due to hate crimes, which I'm sure you're aware.

I have no clue what you're talking about.......I've been vocal about all violence, inclusive of black on black in urban cities, the Buffalo shooting, Uvalde etc and I've offered suggestions on what types of gun restrictions would pass. Not sure what else you want me to do.

There is something very dark and evil brewing within the transgender community. these countries you'd be referring to have been around far longer with established cultural expectations and norms that have not been corrupted by the "epiphany" that's happened here where parents now answer to children if they bother raising them at all. on a vastly more consistent basis they raise their kids with discipline and accountability in behavior and education. most also prioritize children being active and playing sports. still, that's being chipped away there gradually as well, and they have more violence than gets reported here.

they used to have after school clubs for shooting and never had any occur in schools when kids brought them. they weren't the problem then and they aren't the problem now. the problem is mental health and our refusal to call a spade a spade when it comes to someone suffering issues so we can feel accepting and empathetic. enabling is caring about yourself more than the person who needs help...people would rather tell themselves - and more importantly, be told - how great they are for accepting someone as they are rather than do the hard thing and tell them they need help.

It strengthened the Assault Weapons ban from 2004-2014 that we know worked, so why not start here. Do you want to save lives or do you want to argue over what constitutes an assault weapon?

Are strict gun laws saving lives in Chicago?

It is truly amazing that some people cannot see that almost every mass shooting occurs in a gun free zone as I pointed out before. And yes most guns used in them are obtained legally. Majority of gun crimes happen in democratic crime infested inner cities and are generally drug or gang related or a combination of both. And most guns used in those are obtained illegally.

Yet the focus is only on the mass shootings and very little to clean up the inner cities. They are OK with them just shooting up each other every single week and it is basically ignored and not even covered. Welp, another dead dude in the city

I have 3 kids...I am all for them being safe but I do not think taking a scary looking gun and making it illegal to obtain changes anything. They'll just use a different type of gun and clip changes are not hard. A shotgun with a big spread can hit multiple people and is also semi-automatic. You can get barrel drums for them too

So you start here and then the next type of gun begins to be used and then there is another ban. Then another one pops up and you ban it.

And the people who are banning the guns, do not even know what these guns are. I mean speech writers cannot even get the gun that was used properly. MEdia is reporting it was an AR-15 which it wasn't. President reporting it was 2 AK-47's which it wasn't.

There are a lot more powerful and dangerous guns than the scary looking AR

Even if they're not banned, which they won't be and I'm not 100% convinced it would help anyway. Does it make more sense to restrict firearm sales to dealers/retailers only? Or at best, ban firearm sales over the internet? Does that infringe on anyone's right to bear arms? When the second amendment was written the internet wasn't around.

Also - strengthen the protection of legal gun sales while increasing the liability for person-to-person sales. If you sale a gun to someone else and it's use to commit a crime, you should be held liable.

It's illegal for someone with a prescription to sell their medicine to someone else. It should be the same for guns. If you want to sell your gun, resale it at a gun store, that only sales guns/ammo not a pawn shop that sales stolen items.

None of what I have described above infringes on anyone's right to buy or possess a gun.

You mention the internet was not around, well, registering guns was not required either and you could buy, sell, trade with whomever you wanted. I do not have a problem with making it tougher to get them but comparing them to prescription meds is a little out there.

The meds can directly hurt someone if abused and if you purchase that you are purchasing for that reason. Not everyone is purchasing a gun to hurt someone or themselves

Also, I know people that have had guns stolen that have been used in crimes. It is a slippery slope. You start regulating every single thing and the government, whom I do not think anyone fully trusts, has control of your lives.

If you sell a baseball bat and someone uses it to beat someone to death are you liable? If you sell a knife and it kills someone are you liable? If you sell a cross bow and it kills someone, should you be held liable? Where does it end? Why would me selling you a gun, you going mental and killing someone be on me?

I am not responsible for what you do with something I sell to you. If you buy a nice bottle of rare liquor from me, you take it home, get drunk, and kill someone in a car wreck does that come back on me?

Well in general, I would not sell a gun to someone I did not know. That does not mean that person I know and trust would not go bat **** crazy and shoot someone.

All the items I mentioned are things you may not be able to find the one you are looking for. I have a collection of knives that you cannot just go buy on the street. Collecting them kind of happened by accident when my father in law would buy us sets every Christmas. Most are still in original packaging for collection purposes but you could not just go out and buy a lot of mine. Some are custom w/ damascus blades and valuable as well. So if I sell one of my customs and it is used in a stabbing am I liable?

I will say an answer to inner city violence and all of the things you described above is if, over the next 12 months, crime was prosecuted in this country to the max for a year and the discretion was removed from judges on sentencing, i.e. - you're convicted of a crime and you serve the max, violence would taper and society would be better off over the next 20 years, simply for that enforcement.

why serve the max? All that does is hurt the innocent. I say put more people to death. Take the people on death row out. Let's start there...

I was more talking about how repeated offenders are often out on lighter sentences because of first time offenses. Enough of the "warnings" - Society has been signaled warnings of its collapse for years.

yes they are being used more and more for everything from deer, to elk, to higs, to coyotes, etc. Popularity of using an AR-15 in hunting has increased

Light weight, reliable, adjustable stock, etc. Might not be as accurate as some rifles but accurate enough. I think last number I saw that a report stated that 25-30% or so of hunters have used an AR-15 in some type of hunt.

But once again an AR-15 was not used in the shooting that this thread is about. Nor was an AK-47 which the POTUS reported in his presser

It’s just fun to shoot. Nothing more, nothing less.

I think some folks coyote/pig hunt with them, but as I’ve said before, there’s really no need. The issue becomes the 30-50 round clips. Combine that with the ability to fire as quickly as a trigger is pulled, and you have the power to out gun someone else.

I find it odd these shooters carry ARs into the close quarters environments. The truth is, a high capacity shotgun is much more dangerous in those spaces.
