Light weight, reliable, adjustable stock, etc. Might not be as accurate as some rifles but accurate enough. I think last number I saw that a report stated that 25-30% or so of hunters have used an AR-15 in some type of hunt.

I haven't read the shooter's manifesto, nor do i know if it's been released yet, but did they explicitly say they wanted to target solely Christian children? Or was that school targeted because they were a former student at that school and that's why it was chosen?
