As much flak as he takes, you really have to give the man credit for working his *** off. He might not talk good but his actions speak loudly that he cares about this country and it's security.
On the other hand, it really is remarkable that the Republican's favorite candidate hates 55% of the population more than foreign dictators that wish us harm. And it must be why the base loves him because it sure is hell aint because he's a great leader.
I'm not even willing to go that far, but this notion that he's blind or weak is plainly ludicrous. Hell, it's not like he's doing the job alone anyway. Bill Burns is a very capable CIA director, you're getting input from the military people. Compare that to Donnie, who apparently knows more than everyone, "more than the generals" in fact (despite running from the Vietnam War).
It shouldn't need to be said, but boring isn't a bad thing. People rail against the "deep state," "the swamp," etc, but you put people in positions where they have a lot of experience and know what they're doing. Is it glamorous? No. Are they out of touch to one extent or another? Without a doubt. But compare that to the literal circus that was the Trump administration, running through AGs, running through Directors of National Intelligence, running through CIA heads, all because they got on Donnie's bad side for who knows what ridiculous reason (probably for having the audacity to disagree with him). You want to talk about putting the country at risk? The "deep state" these people despise has somehow coincided with the US being the most prosperous and strategically secure country in the history of the world. I wonder why. Make America Great Again? When wasn't it great exactly?
And then yeah, I said it in another thread, but being friends with the likes of Xi, Kim, Putin, and whatever the scumbag dictator flavor of the day is isn't a good thing, though I don't doubt it's a status Trump aspires to.
