This speech writer is somehow navigating this doddling old wearthers original towards a decent narrative.
Did anyone else see Kamala’s husband kiss Jill on the lips?
It was indeed. Man, talk about thinking on your feet. What a move.Biden walking pubs directly into that Medicare/SS exchange was enjoyable. The absolute shitloons the pubs have elected into the house since 2016 is remarkable
Well written speech. Best speechwriting i have seen since the early Bush years. And Biden did a helluva job in delivery. Almost John Kennedy stuff. This speech writer is somehow navigating this doddling old wearthers original towards a decent narrative.
You are living up to your handle with that analysis!Well written speech. Best speechwriting i have seen since the early Bush years. And Biden did a helluva job in delivery. Almost John Kennedy stuff.
What if you invited someone to your house and they told a boldface lie to all the other guests about you? Got to find a way to keep it from becoming insolvent. We have reached a point where we can no longer throw money at our problems. America is brokeBiden walking pubs directly into that Medicare/SS exchange was enjoyable. Just like he's done for the better part of the last 18 months. This speech writer is somehow navigating this doddling old wearthers original towards a decent narrative.
They don't have a clue what they're doing. None of the maga base wast even watching last night, so the only voters watching they even had a chance of appealing to was moderates and independents. Safe to say they didn't accmplish that. They're going to prove over and over and over for the next 2 years why America has rejected magaism.Biden walking pubs directly into that Medicare/SS exchange was enjoyable. That was the best part definitelyBiden walking pubs directly into that Medicare/SS exchange was enjoyable. The absolute shitloons the pubs have elected into the house since 2016 is remarkable
The response from the right wing has been the best part. They're trying to cast his speech as some woke fantasy when in reality it was very centrist.

We don't need you to parrot all the talking points. If we wanted that we'd watch fox News all day. Anyone with any political instincts AT ALL knows what you just typed is ridiculous.Really? Unless I am mistaken, the plan the President referenced was from Senator Rick Scott. Also, his suggestion wasn't to get rid of SS/Medicare, it was to allow the current programs to sunset so we can secure them for the future and actually put something together that would actually fund itself rather than passing it on to the next generations. That was never the intention of either program. We've so lost our way that we play politics on something that is an economic fact and needs to be addressed.
There are loons on both sides. But in the exchange you referenced, the President said one thing and then backtracked a couple of times at least with reference to his original point. Just like his comment about "big oil" and refineries was pure buffoonery. Obviously you have an axe to grind so you see things one way but really? You're smarter than that!
Best thing we could do is to get rid of the SotU speech and stop all the lying to try and gain power over others. But then, that would be working toward actually solving problems.
Also, his entire narrative around the Tyre Nichols situation was fabricated and totally unproven. Using parents of a dead child is utterly depraved. That goes for ALL Presidents who have done this crap since it was started by Reagan. Really bad idea.
Cops who lose control over a racial matter don't take pictures and text them to people. I believe more than ever when it's all said and done this was a targeted attack. They may not have intended to kill him but rather beat the crap out of him and it ended up going too far.

Oh, you've misunderstood this entire time apparently. This is not the place I come for reasoned political debate. I'm here for one reason, and it's to point and laugh at you fools who would still definitely vote for Trump again in 2024 if he was your party's candidate. How so exactly? For once, try making a point.

If that last sentence doesn't describe you, my apologies.
Sure, why not. Fyi, it doesn't matter if you don't specifically watch fox News. The talking points go to all the same right wing propaganda outlets, and I usually already know them and recognize them when you post them.So basically you're an idiot and a troll. Hence why you're in ignore land. (Not sure why your post appeared today, maybe because you quoted me) No need to apologize because I am not sure reading is your thing. I have repeatedly expressed (since 2015) my loathing for Trump and what's remarkable is you seem to think Biden is any degree better. You have your clown and the GOP has theirs. One is not better than the other. Both are disreputable liars and really, really bad for our country.

I agree, but with you specifically it happens a lot. This is a @Willence specific criticism. The problem with that kind of mindset is that if I say something that happens to appear on some other network or in a news publication then I am parroting a talking point. That's just not reality. I do my own reading and my own research on what I think about things. I'm actually all over the map with my views though generally attend to gravitate toward libertarian and constitutional conservative viewpoints on most things. I am definitely on the right and as such you and I are going to disagree on almost everything but that doesn't mean we can't have civil discussions without assuming the worst about each other.
The overarching view I have on everything is that if it cannot withstand honest scrutiny then it's probably wrong. I don't want to be wrong about my core beliefs so I prefer to have them scrutinized by people who are willing to be honest about things. I've learned a lot that way and perhaps you should try that out yourself.
already thereAdd me to the list of people who would vote for him if what's currently in office is the other choice! In a heartbeat!
You are mistaken. Biden's exact words were:
Instead of making the wealthy pay their fair share, some Republicans want Medicare and Social Security to sunset every five years.
That means if Congress doesn’t vote to keep them, those programs will go away.
Other Republicans say if we don’t cut Social Security and Medicare, they’ll let America default on its debt for the first time in our history.
I won’t let that happen.
And then he went on to say contact my office and I will provide you with the document. He was referencing Senator Rick Scott's program. The one that got him in so much trouble with Mitch McConnell. The one Democrats had a field day with in advance of the election.
The idea behind his proposal is that every 5 years programs would sunset and need to be renewed by Congress. We have a lot of legacy programs that have turned into total disasters and this is an attempt to keep them in place while reviewing them on a 5-year basis to make necessary changes. It is entirely reasonable. But then it's also something that will get completely demagogued to death in today's climate which is exactly what happened. Are amazingly dishonest president is all too happy to jump into the fray on that account. He never met a lie he didn't like. That's one thing he has in common with his predecessor.
This an important distinction, and something I've noticed with so many on the right. And after supporting the biggest pathological liar this country has ever produced, you'd think they'd know how to spot the difference between lies and objective facts. Not only have they not, they're going to vote for the liar again. What specifically did he lie about?
Read the transcript. He said exactly what you just said. He even clarified, "some republicans."
You may not like what he said, but it was not dishonest.
And see @WapPride 's post above, it is Mike Lee saying he wants to kill social security.

Lol. You are something else.
Are you insane? He described it exactly the same way you did.
I am really starting to worry about your mental health.
Boy if this isn’t the pot calling the kettle black…This an important distinction, and something I've noticed with so many on the right. Because at the end of the day, anyone who would still vote for Trump only cares about one thing, and that's winning elections. Despite all their faux moral outrage and performative theatrics about, well, everything, the only thing they care about is winning and power.
