Is Franklin’s stance falling on deaf ears?

UNIVERSITY PARK — Without mentioning names — hint, hint — there have been some former Penn State football coaches known to snap at the media every now and then. James Franklin, for the most part, hasn’t been one of them. In fact, at least in the press conferences I’ve attended over Franklin’s...

"The Fox Chapel Area Schools Sports Hall of Fame has seven new members.

Miles Dieffenbach was a four-year starter for Fox Chapel’s football team and was named all-state in 2008 and ’09.

He was rated the nation’s top center by ESPN and played in the Under Armour All-American game in Orlando, Fla.

Dieffenbach went on to Penn State where he lettered three times and started 27 games for the Nittany Lions.

He was named a Big Ten Conference Academic All-American from 2012-14.

Dieffenbach is now an investment manager for Carnegie Mellon."

On a personal note, I'll be off the board much of this summer. Like many of us, my life has been on hold these past 2 years. Since "time and tide wait for no man", I'll be putting all my efforts into catching up on some goals and dreams. I may stop in from time and hope to return in the fall. Until then, have a healthy, happy, summer. May God bless us, every one.

Ranking the Big Ten head football coaches

We went through and ranked the quarterbacks, running backs and pass-catchers during our post-spring rankings. Now we are going to rank the Big Ten head coaches. The Big Ten has plenty of really good coaches, which is a big reason the B
