I tend to think a moderate Democrat is more fiscally conservative than Trump.

Trump also called the economy a fake economy created by the federal reserve when Obama was president. After becoming president he demanded for negative interest rates which would be 10 fold of what he criticized Obama about.

When Trump says he wants negative interest rates he is saying he wants your savings to decrease each month.... He literally wants to grow the income gap by inflating stocks and robbing normal Americans savings...

This is a primary example of WHY his base loves him. It's not a matter of thinking. You can point out the above. You can point out his lies and corruption. You point out whatever and it makes no difference to his base. As Trump himself said. "I could go out into the street and shoot someone and wouldn't lose a single vote". And it's true. The problem I have is that I try and argue from a logical standpoint. That doesn't work. But I keep doing it anyway. Which says something about me that's not flattering... Doing the same thing over and over again and somehow expecting a different result. The problem is that I'm a facts/science driven guy. If someone could convince me with facts and logic that I was wrong about Trump the whole time... I'd change and vote for Trump. It's just the way I'm put together. But that's not the way his followers operate.

My family is pretty darn conservative and they LOVE Trump. They fully believe it when they tell me that Trump is a straight shooter and tells it like it is. I can point out the lying and scumbags he surrounds himself with all day long. It just bounces off. They nod and smile and say the same thing the next day.

There's no thinking or logic involved, it's a matter of faith. His followers BELIEVE in Donald Trump the same way they believe in Jesus. This is the same kind of thing that let Jimmy Swaggart and Jim Baker get rich. These guys told everyone how great and good they were at serving the Lord. And in spite of it being obvious to EVERYONE else, that these guys were lining their own pockets, they packed HUGE venues for years. There's plenty of folks out there today that STILL think both guys got a raw deal. These type folks make up a LOT of Trump's base.

Now there are also some really smart folks out there that support Trump as well. And some of them are on this board. They are convinced (with good reason) that this country is going to hell in a handbasket. They are focused on building wealth for themselves and their families period. Everything else is secondary. There's no doubt that Trump will help them on their way. THIS I can actually respect. I don't agree with it, but I respect it. But the folks that think Trump is a godly man or cares about the country? Please....

Numbers are for about 10 months and not a year, but I just used the numbers as a year's total and came up with approx. 6,650 abortions/week by Planned Infanticide. Of course the concept is moot anyway. Abortions can always be re-scheduled right?

The only thing a Christian can expect from our leaders is to support:
1. Freedom of religion, public prayer, etc.

He does far more than "says the right things". He actually does something, as in taking away tax payer funds from PP, etc. Appoints originalist judges who support freedom of religion, prayer etc. He's done far more for Christians than any other POTUS in my lifetime.

I understand more about the people who have abortions than you could imagine. It's not pretty and I had a lot of problems getting over it.
Let me ask: If you found yourself one day having no other choice but to steal a car in order to get to work because you like getting paid, would you do it?
I am sure that there are people having abortions who are very unsure about whether they are doing the right thing. It's the people who push them into it and refuse to give them all the information, refuse to require parental notification, (for minors), refuse any and all limitations, and now refuse to resuscitate a human being living outside the womb, that want to kill babies.
